Read All Ahadith In The Book Of muslim

It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) used to tell her to recite Ruqyah for protection against the evil eye.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُمَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْبَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُهَا أَنْ تَسْتَرْقِيَ مِنَ الْعَيْنِ.

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said concerning Ruqyah: “It is allowed in the case of stings, pustules and the evil eye.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، فِي الرُّقَى قَالَ : رُخِّصَ فِي الْحُمَةِ وَالنَّمْلَةِ وَالْعَيْنِ.

It was narrated from Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet (s.a.w), that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said to a young girl in her house on whose face her saw yellow marks: “She is affected by the evil eye; recite Ruqyah for her.”

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ لِجَارِيَةٍ فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، رَأَى بِوَجْهِهَا سَفْعَةً ، فَقَالَ : بِهَا نَظْرَةٌ ، فَاسْتَرْقُوا لَهَا. يَعْنِي بِوَجْهِهَا صُفْرَةً.

Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “The Prophet (s.a.w) granted permission to the family of Hazm to recite Ruqyah for snake bite. He (s.a.w) said to Asma’ bint ‘Umais: Why do I see my brother’s children looking so thin? Are they in need?’ She said: ‘No, but the evil eye has affected them.’ He said: ‘Recite Ruqyah for them.’ She said: ‘So I recited it as Ruqyah for them.”’

حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ، يَقُولُ: رَخَّصَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِآلِ حَزْمٍ فِي رُقْيَةِ الْحَيَّةِ ، وَقَالَ لأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ: مَا لِي أَرَى أَجْسَامَ بَنِي أَخِي ضَارِعَةً تُصِيبُهُمُ الْحَاجَةُ قَالَتْ: لاَ ، وَلَكِنِ الْعَيْنُ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ ، قَالَ: ارْقِيهِمْ قَالَتْ : فَعَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ: ارْقِيهِمْ.

Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “The Prophet (s.a.w) granted permission to Banu ‘Amr allowing Ruqyah for snake bites.” Abu Az-Zubair said: “And I heard Jabir bin ‘Abdullah say: ‘A man was stung by a scorpion when we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) and a man said: “O Messenger of Allah, shall I recite Ruqyah?” He said: ‘Whoever among you can benefit his brother, let him do so.”’

وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ، يَقُولُ : أَرْخَصَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رُقْيَةِ الْحَيَّةِ لِبَنِي عَمْرٍو. قَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ : وَسَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ : لَدَغَتْ رَجُلاً مِنَّا عَقْرَبٌ ، وَنَحْنُ جُلُوسٌ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، أَرْقِي ؟ قَالَ: مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَنْفَعَ أَخَاهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ.

It was narrated that Jabir said: “I had a maternal uncle who used to recite Ruqyah for scorpion stings, then the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) forbade Ruqyah. He came to him and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, you have forbidden Ruqyah but I recite Ruqyah for scorpion stings.’ He said: ‘Whoever among you can benefit his brother, let him do so.’’

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ، قَالاَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ: كَانَ لِي خَالٌ يَرْقِي مِنَ الْعَقْرَبِ ، فَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الرُّقَى ، قَالَ: فَأَتَاهُ ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، إِنَّكَ نَهَيْتَ عَنِ الرُّقَى ، وَأَنَا أَرْقِي مِنَ الْعَقْرَبِ ، فَقَالَ: مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَنْفَعَ أَخَاهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْ.

It was narrated that Jabir said: “The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) forbade Ruqyah, then the family of ‘Amar bin Hazm came to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, was had a Ruqyah that we used to recite for scorpion stings, but you have forbidden Ruqyah.’ They recited it to him and he said: ‘I do not see anything wrong with it. Whoever among you can benefit his brother, let him do so.”’

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الرُّقَى ، فَجَاءَ آلُ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، إِنَّهُ كَانَتْ عِنْدَنَا رُقْيَةٌ نَرْقِي بِهَا مِنَ الْعَقْرَبِ ، وَإِنَّكَ نَهَيْتَ عَنِ الرُّقَى ، قَالَ : فَعَرَضُوهَا عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : مَا أَرَى بَأْسًا مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَنْفَعَ أَخَاهُ فَلْيَنْفَعْهُ.

It was narrated that ‘Awf bin Malik Al-Ashja’i said: “We used to recite Ruqyah during the Jahiliyyah, and we said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, what do you thing about that?’ He said: ‘Present your Ruqyah to me. There is nothing wrong with a Ruqyah that does not involve Shirk.”’

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الأَشْجَعِيِّ ، قَالَ: كُنَّا نَرْقِي فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، كَيْفَ تَرَى فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ : اعْرِضُوا عَلَيَّ رُقَاكُمْ ، لاَ بَأْسَ بِالرُّقَى مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهِ شِرْكٌ.

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri that a group of the Companions of the Prophet (s.a.w) set out on a journey and traveled until they stopped near one of the Arab tribes. They asked them for hospitality but they refused to host them. Then they asked them: “Is there anyone among you who knows how to do Ruqyah?” Because the leader of the tribe had been stung or had fallen ill. A man among them said: “yes.” So he went to hum and performed Ruqyah for him by reciting the Opening of the Book (i.e., Surat Al-Fatihah). The man recovered and he was given a flock of sheep, but he refused to accept them and said: “Not until I tell the Prophet (s.a.w) about that.” So he came to the Prophet (s.a.w) and told him about that. He said: “O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, I did not recite anything but the Opening, of the Book as Ruqyah for him.” He smiled and said: “How did you know that it is a Ruqyah?” Then he said: “Accept (the sheep) from them and give me a share with you.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانُوا فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَمَرُّوا بِحَيٍّ مِنْ أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ ، فَاسْتَضَافُوهُمْ فَلَمْ يُضِيفُوهُمْ ، فَقَالُوا لَهُمْ : هَلْ فِيكُمْ رَاقٍ ؟ فَإِنَّ سَيِّدَ الْحَيِّ لَدِيغٌ ، أَوْ مُصَابٌ ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ : نَعَمْ ، فَأَتَاهُ فَرَقَاهُ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ ، فَبَرَأَ الرَّجُلُ ، فَأُعْطِيَ قَطِيعًا مِنْ غَنَمٍ ، فَأَبَى أَنْ يَقْبَلَهَا ، وَقَالَ : حَتَّى أَذْكُرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، وَاللَّهِ مَا رَقَيْتُ إِلاَّ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَتَبَسَّمَ وَقَالَ : وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ أَنَّهَا رُقْيَةٌ ؟ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : خُذُوا مِنْهُمْ ، وَاضْرِبُوا لِي بِسَهْمٍ مَعَكُمْ.

It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri said: “We made a stop and a woman came and said: ‘The chief of our tribe is ill, he has been stung. Is there anyone among you who can perform Ruqyah?’ A man among us got up and went with her, and we did not think that he was good at performing Ruqyah, He recited the Opening of the Book as a Ruqyah for him, and he recovered. They gave us some sheep and gave us milk to drink. We said: ‘Are you good at performing Ruqyah?’ He said: ‘I did not recite anything for Ruqyah but the Opening of the Book.’ I said: ‘Do not move them (the sheep) until we come to the Prophet (s.a.w).’ We came to the Prophet (s.a.w) and told him about that, and he said: ‘How did he know that it is a Ruqyah? Distribute them and give me a share with you.”’

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : نَزَلْنَا مَنْزِلاً ، فَأَتَتْنَا امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ : إِنَّ سَيِّدَ الْحَيِّ سَلِيمٌ ، لُدِغَ ، فَهَلْ فِيكُمْ مِنْ رَاقٍ ؟ فَقَامَ مَعَهَا رَجُلٌ مِنَّا، مَا كُنَّا نَظُنُّهُ يُحْسِنُ رُقْيَةً ، فَرَقَاهُ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَبَرَأَ ، فَأَعْطَوْهُ غَنَمًا ، وَسَقَوْنَا لَبَنًا ، فَقُلْنَا : أَكُنْتَ تُحْسِنُ رُقْيَةً ؟ فَقَالَ : مَا رَقَيْتُهُ إِلاَّ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ : لاَ تُحَرِّكُوهَا حَتَّى نَأْتِيَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : مَا كَانَ يُدْرِيهِ أَنَّهَا رُقْيَةٌ ؟ اقْسِمُوا وَاضْرِبُوا لِي بِسَهْمٍ مَعَكُمْ.
