اَمِ اتَّخَذُوْۤا اٰلِهَةً مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ هُمْ یُنْشِرُوْنَ۝۲۱

Or have they taken gods from the earth who can raise the dead?

لَوْ كَانَ فِیْهِمَاۤ اٰلِهَةٌ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ لَفَسَدَتَا ۚ فَسُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا یَصِفُوْنَ۝۲۲

Had there been gods apart from God, both (the heavens and the earth) would have been despoiled. Much too glorious is God, the Lord of the mighty throne, for things they assert!

لَا یُسْـَٔلُ عَمَّا یَفْعَلُ وَ هُمْ یُسْـَٔلُوْنَ۝۲۳

He cannot be questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned.

اَمِ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۤ اٰلِهَةً ؕ قُلْ هَاتُوْا بُرْهَانَكُمْ ۚ هٰذَا ذِكْرُ مَنْ مَّعِیَ وَ ذِكْرُ مَنْ قَبْلِیْ ؕ بَلْ اَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ ۙ الْحَقَّ فَهُمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ۝۲۴

Have they taken gods besides God? Say: "Then bring your proof. Here is the Book of those who are with me, and the Book of those who have gone before me." But most men do not know the truth and turn away.

وَ مَاۤ اَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رَّسُوْلٍ اِلَّا نُوْحِیْۤ اِلَیْهِ اَنَّهٗ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّاۤ اَنَا فَاعْبُدُوْنِ۝۲۵

We have not sent an apostle before you without instructing him that there is no god but I, so worship Me.

وَ قَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَلَدًا سُبْحٰنَهٗ ؕ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُوْنَۙ۝۲۶

And yet they say: "Ar-Rahman has begotten a son." Too exalted is He! In fact, those (they call His sons) were His honoured votaries.

لَا یَسْبِقُوْنَهٗ بِالْقَوْلِ وَ هُمْ بِاَمْرِهٖ یَعْمَلُوْنَ۝۲۷

They did not precede Him in their speech, and acted on His command.

یَعْلَمُ مَا بَیْنَ اَیْدِیْهِمْ وَ مَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَ لَا یَشْفَعُوْنَ ۙ اِلَّا لِمَنِ ارْتَضٰی وَ هُمْ مِّنْ خَشْیَتِهٖ مُشْفِقُوْنَ۝۲۸

He knows what was there before them and what came after them; and they did not intercede for any one but whom He willed, and they were filled with awe of Him.

وَ مَنْ یَّقُلْ مِنْهُمْ اِنِّیْۤ اِلٰهٌ مِّنْ دُوْنِهٖ فَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِیْهِ جَهَنَّمَ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِی الظّٰلِمِیْنَ۠۝۲۹

If any one of them said: "I am God besides Him," We should award him Hell; for this is how We requite the evil-doers.

اَوَ لَمْ یَرَ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْۤا اَنَّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنٰهُمَا ؕ وَ جَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَآءِ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ حَیٍّ ؕ اَفَلَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ۝۳۰

Do not these unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were an integrated mass, then We split them and made every living thing from water? Will they not believe even then?
