تَبَّتْ یَدَاۤ اَبِیْ لَهَبٍ وَّ تَبَّؕ۝۱

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish.

مَاۤ اَغْنٰی عَنْهُ مَالُهٗ وَ مَا كَسَبَؕ۝۲

Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired.

سَیَصْلٰی نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۚۖ۝۳

He will be roasted in the fire,

وَّ امْرَاَتُهٗ ؕ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِۚ۝۴

And his wife, the portress of fire wood,

فِیْ جِیْدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّنْ مَّسَدٍ۠۝۵

Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck.
