كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوْطٍۭ بِالنُّذُرِ۝۳۳

The people of Lot rejected the warnings.

اِنَّاۤ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ حَاصِبًا اِلَّاۤ اٰلَ لُوْطٍ ؕ نَجَّیْنٰهُمْ بِسَحَرٍۙ۝۳۴

We sent a stone-hurtling storm against them, except the family of Lot whom We saved in the early hours of the morning

نِّعْمَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِنَا ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِیْ مَنْ شَكَرَ۝۳۵

As a favour from Us. That is how We reward the grateful.

وَ لَقَدْ اَنْذَرَهُمْ بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا بِالنُّذُرِ۝۳۶

He had warned them of Our might, but they passed over the warnings.

وَ لَقَدْ رَاوَدُوْهُ عَنْ ضَیْفِهٖ فَطَمَسْنَاۤ اَعْیُنَهُمْ فَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابِیْ وَ نُذُرِ۝۳۷

They lusted after his guests, so We put out their eyes (and said): "Taste My punishment and My commination."

وَ لَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُّسْتَقِرٌّۚ۝۳۸

And early in the morning the decreed punishment came upon them.

فَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابِیْ وَ نُذُرِ۝۳۹

So now taste My punishment and My commination!

وَ لَقَدْ یَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْاٰنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُّدَّكِرٍ۠۝۴۰

Easy have We made the Qur´an to understand: So is there any one who will be warned?

وَ لَقَدْ جَآءَ اٰلَ فِرْعَوْنَ النُّذُرُۚ۝۴۱

The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh.

كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰیٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ اَخْذَ عَزِیْزٍ مُّقْتَدِرٍ۝۴۲

They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful.
