اَلَكُمُ الذَّكَرُ وَ لَهُ الْاُنْثٰی۝۲۱

Are there sons for you, and daughters for Him?

تِلْكَ اِذًا قِسْمَةٌ ضِیْزٰی۝۲۲

This is certainly an unjust apportioning.

اِنْ هِیَ اِلَّاۤ اَسْمَآءٌ سَمَّیْتُمُوْهَاۤ اَنْتُمْ وَ اٰبَآؤُكُمْ مَّاۤ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطٰنٍ ؕ اِنْ یَّتَّبِعُوْنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَ مَا تَهْوَی الْاَنْفُسُ ۚ وَ لَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ مِّنْ رَّبِّهِمُ الْهُدٰیؕ۝۲۳

These are only names which you and your fathers have invented. No authority was sent down by God for them. They only follow conjecture and wish-fulfilment, even though guidance had come to them already from their Lord.

اَمْ لِلْاِنْسَانِ مَا تَمَنّٰیؗۖ۝۲۴

Can ever man get what he desires?

فَلِلّٰهِ الْاٰخِرَةُ وَ الْاُوْلٰی۠۝۲۵

To God belong the End and the Beginning.

وَ كَمْ مِّنْ مَّلَكٍ فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ لَا تُغْنِیْ شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَیْـًٔا اِلَّا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اَنْ یَّاْذَنَ اللّٰهُ لِمَنْ یَّشَآءُ وَ یَرْضٰی۝۲۶

Many as the angels be in heaven their intercession will not avail in the least without God´s permission for whomsoever He please and approve.

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ لَیُسَمُّوْنَ الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةَ تَسْمِیَةَ الْاُنْثٰی۝۲۷

Those who do not believe in the Hereafter give the angels names of females.

وَ مَا لَهُمْ بِهٖ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ؕ اِنْ یَّتَّبِعُوْنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ ۚ وَ اِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا یُغْنِیْ مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَیْـًٔاۚ۝۲۸

Yet they have no knowledge of this, and follow nothing but conjecture, but conjecture cannot replace the truth.

فَاَعْرِضْ عَنْ مَّنْ تَوَلّٰی ۙ۬ عَنْ ذِكْرِنَا وَ لَمْ یُرِدْ اِلَّا الْحَیٰوةَ الدُّنْیَاؕ۝۲۹

So you turn away from him who turns away from Our rememberance and wants nothing but the life of this world:

ذٰلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُمْ مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَبِیْلِهٖ ۙ وَ هُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اهْتَدٰی۝۳۰

This is the farthest limit of their knowledge. Surely your Lord alone knows best who has strayed away from the path and who has come to guidance.
