اُولٰٓىِٕكَ الَّذِیْنَ خَسِرُوْۤا اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَ ضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا یَفْتَرُوْنَ۝۲۱

They are verily those who exceeded themselves, and the (gods) they invented abandoned them.

لَا جَرَمَ اَنَّهُمْ فِی الْاٰخِرَةِ هُمُ الْاَخْسَرُوْنَ۝۲۲

Undoubtedly they will be losers in the life to come.

اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَ اَخْبَتُوْۤا اِلٰی رَبِّهِمْ ۙ اُولٰٓىِٕكَ اَصْحٰبُ الْجَنَّةِ ۚ هُمْ فِیْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ۝۲۳

But those who believe and do things good, and are humble before their Lord, are men of Paradise where they will abide for ever.

مَثَلُ الْفَرِیْقَیْنِ كَالْاَعْمٰی وَ الْاَصَمِّ وَ الْبَصِیْرِ وَ السَّمِیْعِ ؕ هَلْ یَسْتَوِیٰنِ مَثَلًا ؕ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ۠۝۲۴

The semblance of these two groups is that of a man who is deaf and blind, and the other who can hear and see. Can they be equal? Why do you not reflect?

وَ لَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا نُوْحًا اِلٰی قَوْمِهٖۤ ؗ اِنِّیْ لَكُمْ نَذِیْرٌ مُّبِیْنٌۙ۝۲۵

We sent Noah to his people (and he said): "I give you a clear warning.

اَنْ لَّا تَعْبُدُوْۤا اِلَّا اللّٰهَ ؕ اِنِّیْۤ اَخَافُ عَلَیْكُمْ عَذَابَ یَوْمٍ اَلِیْمٍ۝۲۶

Do not worship anyone but God; for I fear the punishment of a dreadful day for you."

فَقَالَ الْمَلَاُ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ قَوْمِهٖ مَا نَرٰىكَ اِلَّا بَشَرًا مِّثْلَنَا وَ مَا نَرٰىكَ اتَّبَعَكَ اِلَّا الَّذِیْنَ هُمْ اَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِیَ الرَّاْیِ ۚ وَ مَا نَرٰی لَكُمْ عَلَیْنَا مِنْ فَضْلٍۭ بَلْ نَظُنُّكُمْ كٰذِبِیْنَ۝۲۷

The leaders of the people who were unbelievers, replied: "We see that you are but a man like us, and see that none among us follows you but the meanest and immature of judgement, and do not see any excellence in you above us. In fact, we think you are a liar."

قَالَ یٰقَوْمِ اَرَءَیْتُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُ عَلٰی بَیِّنَةٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّیْ وَ اٰتٰىنِیْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِهٖ فَعُمِّیَتْ عَلَیْكُمْ ؕ اَنُلْزِمُكُمُوْهَا وَ اَنْتُمْ لَهَا كٰرِهُوْنَ۝۲۸

He said: "O my people, think. If I have a clear proof from my Lord, and He has bestowed on me His grace, though unknown to you, can we force it upon you when you are averse?

وَ یٰقَوْمِ لَاۤ اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَیْهِ مَالًا ؕ اِنْ اَجْرِیَ اِلَّا عَلَی اللّٰهِ وَ مَاۤ اَنَا بِطَارِدِ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا ؕ اِنَّهُمْ مُّلٰقُوْا رَبِّهِمْ وَ لٰكِنِّیْۤ اَرٰىكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُوْنَ۝۲۹

I do not demand for it any wealth from you, O my people. My reward is with God. And I will not drive those away who believe. They have also to meet their Lord. But I see you are an ignorant people.

وَ یٰقَوْمِ مَنْ یَّنْصُرُنِیْ مِنَ اللّٰهِ اِنْ طَرَدْتُّهُمْ ؕ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ۝۳۰

O my people, who will save me from God if I drive them away? Do you not understand?
