وَ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اٰلِهَةً لِّیَكُوْنُوْا لَهُمْ عِزًّاۙ۝۸۱

They have taken other gods apart from God that they might be a strength to them.

كَلَّا ؕ سَیَكْفُرُوْنَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَ یَكُوْنُوْنَ عَلَیْهِمْ ضِدًّا۠۝۸۲

Never. They will deny their devotion and become their adversaries.

اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّاۤ اَرْسَلْنَا الشَّیٰطِیْنَ عَلَی الْكٰفِرِیْنَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ اَزًّاۙ۝۸۳

Do you not see that We have set the devils against the infidels to rouse and instigate them?

فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَیْهِمْ ؕ اِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّاۚ۝۸۴

So, do not be hasty with them. We are counting their number (of days).

یَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِیْنَ اِلَی الرَّحْمٰنِ وَفْدًاۙ۝۸۵

The day We shall usher the righteous before Ar-Rahman like envoys into the presence of a king,

وَّ نَسُوْقُ الْمُجْرِمِیْنَ اِلٰی جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًاۘ۝۸۶

And drive the wicked into Hell like cattle driven to water,

لَا یَمْلِكُوْنَ الشَّفَاعَةَ اِلَّا مَنِ اتَّخَذَ عِنْدَ الرَّحْمٰنِ عَهْدًاۘ۝۸۷

None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman.

وَ قَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَلَدًاؕ۝۸۸

They say: "God has begotten a son."

لَقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَیْـًٔا اِدًّاۙ۝۸۹

You have uttered a grievous thing

تَكَادُ السَّمٰوٰتُ یَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَ تَنْشَقُّ الْاَرْضُ وَ تَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّاۙ۝۹۰

Which would cleave the skies asunder, rend the earth, and split the mountains,
