اَرَءَیْتَ اِنْ كَانَ عَلَی الْهُدٰۤیۙ۝۱۱

Have you thought, if he had been on guidance

اَوْ اَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوٰیؕ۝۱۲

Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)?

اَرَءَیْتَ اِنْ كَذَّبَ وَ تَوَلّٰیؕ۝۱۳

Have you thought that if he denies and turns away,

اَلَمْ یَعْلَمْ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ یَرٰیؕ۝۱۴

Does he not know that God sees?

كَلَّا لَىِٕنْ لَّمْ یَنْتَهِ ۙ۬ لَنَسْفَعًۢا بِالنَّاصِیَةِۙ۝۱۵

And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock,

نَاصِیَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍۚ۝۱۶

By the lying, the sinful forelock.

فَلْیَدْعُ نَادِیَهٗۙ۝۱۷

So let him call his associates,

سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِیَةَۙ۝۱۸

We shall call the guards of Hell.

كَلَّا ؕ لَا تُطِعْهُ وَ اسْجُدْ وَ اقْتَرِبْ۠۩۝۱۹

Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord).
