فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّیْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنٰهُمْ غُثَآءً ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ۝۴۱

So they were rightly seized by a mighty blast; and We turned them into mouldy rubbish: A good riddance of the wicked people!

ثُمَّ اَنْشَاْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُوْنًا اٰخَرِیْنَؕ۝۴۲

Then after them We raised other generations.

مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ اُمَّةٍ اَجَلَهَا وَ مَا یَسْتَاْخِرُوْنَؕ۝۴۳

No nation can live beyond its allotted time, or lag behind.

ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَا ؕ كُلَّمَا جَآءَ اُمَّةً رَّسُوْلُهَا كَذَّبُوْهُ فَاَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضًا وَّ جَعَلْنٰهُمْ اَحَادِیْثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّقَوْمٍ لَّا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ۝۴۴

Then We sent Our apostles one after the other. Every time an apostle came to a people they denied him. So We made one follow the other (to its doom), and turned them into bygone tales. Cursed be the people who do not believe!

ثُمَّ اَرْسَلْنَا مُوْسٰی وَ اَخَاهُ هٰرُوْنَ ۙ۬ بِاٰیٰتِنَا وَ سُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِیْنٍۙ۝۴۵

Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our miracles and clear proofs

اِلٰی فِرْعَوْنَ وَ مَلَاۡىِٕهٖ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا وَ كَانُوْا قَوْمًا عَالِیْنَۚ۝۴۶

To Pharaoh and his nobles who behaved with arrogance, for they were a conceited lot,

فَقَالُوْۤا اَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَیْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَ قَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عٰبِدُوْنَۚ۝۴۷

And said: "Should we believe in two men like yourselves, whose people are our subjects?"

فَكَذَّبُوْهُمَا فَكَانُوْا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِیْنَ۝۴۸

Then they accused them of lies, and joined the company of those who were destroyed.

وَ لَقَدْ اٰتَیْنَا مُوْسَی الْكِتٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَهْتَدُوْنَ۝۴۹

And We gave the Book to Moses so that they may be guided.

وَ جَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْیَمَ وَ اُمَّهٗۤ اٰیَةً وَّ اٰوَیْنٰهُمَاۤ اِلٰی رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَّ مَعِیْنٍ۠۝۵۰

And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and gave them shelter on an elevated ground, sequestered, watered by a spring.
