اُولٰٓىِٕكَ یُسٰرِعُوْنَ فِی الْخَیْرٰتِ وَ هُمْ لَهَا سٰبِقُوْنَ۝۶۱

Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others.

وَ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا اِلَّا وُسْعَهَا وَ لَدَیْنَا كِتٰبٌ یَّنْطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ وَ هُمْ لَا یُظْلَمُوْنَ۝۶۲

We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one.

بَلْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ فِیْ غَمْرَةٍ مِّنْ هٰذَا وَ لَهُمْ اَعْمَالٌ مِّنْ دُوْنِ ذٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عٰمِلُوْنَ۝۶۳

Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things,

حَتّٰۤی اِذَاۤ اَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِیْهِمْ بِالْعَذَابِ اِذَا هُمْ یَجْـَٔرُوْنَؕ۝۶۴

So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help.

لَا تَجْـَٔرُوا الْیَوْمَ ۫ اِنَّكُمْ مِّنَّا لَا تُنْصَرُوْنَ۝۶۵

"Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us;

قَدْ كَانَتْ اٰیٰتِیْ تُتْلٰی عَلَیْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ عَلٰۤی اَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنْكِصُوْنَۙ۝۶۶

For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled

مُسْتَكْبِرِیْنَ ۖۗ بِهٖ سٰمِرًا تَهْجُرُوْنَ۝۶۷

Insolently, treating them like tales told at night."

اَفَلَمْ یَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ اَمْ جَآءَهُمْ مَّا لَمْ یَاْتِ اٰبَآءَهُمُ الْاَوَّلِیْنَؗ۝۶۸

Why did they not think over the message? Or has something come to them which had not come to their fathers?

اَمْ لَمْ یَعْرِفُوْا رَسُوْلَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهٗ مُنْكِرُوْنَؗ۝۶۹

Or did they not recognise their apostle, and rejected him?

اَمْ یَقُوْلُوْنَ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌ ؕ بَلْ جَآءَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كٰرِهُوْنَ۝۷۰

Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth.
