فَرَاغَ اِلٰۤی اٰلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ اَلَا تَاْكُلُوْنَۚ۝۹۱

Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)?

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنْطِقُوْنَ۝۹۲

What is wrong with you that you do not speak?"

فَرَاغَ عَلَیْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِالْیَمِیْنِ۝۹۳

Then he started striking them down with his right hand.

فَاَقْبَلُوْۤا اِلَیْهِ یَزِفُّوْنَ۝۹۴

So the people descended upon him.

قَالَ اَتَعْبُدُوْنَ مَا تَنْحِتُوْنَۙ۝۹۵

"Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked,

وَ اللّٰهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَ مَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ۝۹۶

"When God has created you and what you make?"

قَالُوا ابْنُوْا لَهٗ بُنْیَانًا فَاَلْقُوْهُ فِی الْجَحِیْمِ۝۹۷

"Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire."

فَاَرَادُوْا بِهٖ كَیْدًا فَجَعَلْنٰهُمُ الْاَسْفَلِیْنَ۝۹۸

So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject.

وَ قَالَ اِنِّیْ ذَاهِبٌ اِلٰی رَبِّیْ سَیَهْدِیْنِ۝۹۹

And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way.

رَبِّ هَبْ لِیْ مِنَ الصّٰلِحِیْنَ۝۱۰۰

(And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son."
