It was narrated from Ibn Abbas [may Allah be pleased with them], that Dubaah bint Az-Zubair bin Abdul- Muttalib [may Allah be pleased with them] came to Messenger of Allah (SAW) and said: “I am a heavy woman but I want to perform Hajj. What do you advice to me to do?” He said: “Enter Ihram for Hajj, but stipulate the condition that: “Mahilli haithu habastani (My place of existing Ihram is wherever You prevent me.)”He said: “But she was able to do it all.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ وَأَبُو عَاصِمٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِى أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ طَاوُسًا وَعِكْرِمَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتَ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ - رضى الله عنها - أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَقَالَتْ إِنِّى امْرَأَةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ وَإِنِّى أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِى قَالَ « أَهِلِّى بِالْحَجِّ وَاشْتَرِطِى أَنَّ مَحِلِّى حَيْثُ تَحْبِسُنِى ». قَالَ فَأَدْرَكَتْ.

It was narrated from Ibn Abbas [may Allah be pleased with them], that Dubaah want to perform Hajj and the Prophet (SAW) told her to stipulate a condition, and she did that on the command of Messenger of Allah (SAW).

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ هَرِمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَعِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضى الله عنهما أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ أَرَادَتِ الْحَجَّ فَأَمَرَهَا النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَنْ تَشْتَرِطَ فَفَعَلَتْ ذَلِكَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم-.

It was narrated from Ibn Abbas [may Allah be pleased with them], that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to Dubaah [may Allah be pleased with her] : “Go for Hajj, but stipulate the condition that: Mahilli haithu habastani (My place of existing Ihram is wherever You prevent me.)” According to report of Ishaq: “He commanded Dubaah.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَبُو أَيُّوبَ الْغَيْلاَنِىُّ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ خِرَاشٍ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ - وَهُوَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو - حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ - وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِى مَعْرُوفٍ - عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - رضى الله عنهما - أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ لِضُبَاعَةَ رضى الله عنها « حُجِّى وَاشْتَرِطِى أَنَّ مَحِلِّى حَيْثُ تَحْبِسُنِى ». وَفِى رِوَايَةِ إِسْحَاقَ أَمَرَ ضُبَاعَةَ.

It was narrated that Aisha [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “Asma bint Umais experienced Nifas from giving birth to Muhammad bin Abi Bakr in Ash-Shajarah. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) told Abu Bakr to tell her to perform Ghusl and enter Ihram.”

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِىِّ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ عَبْدَةَ - قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ - عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ نُفِسَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ بِمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِى بَكْرٍ بِالشَّجَرَةِ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَبَا بَكْرٍ يَأْمُرُهَا أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ وَتُهِلَّ.

It was narrated that Aisha [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) during the year of Farewell pilgrimage, and we entered Ihram for Umrah. Then the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ‘Whoever has a Hadi (sacrificial animal) with him, let him enter Ihram for Hajj with Umrah, then not exit from Ihram until he exits Ihram form both.’“I came to Makkah and I was menstruating, I did not circumambulate the House nor go between As-Safa and Al-Marwah. I complained about that to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and he said: ‘Undo your hair and comb it, and enter Ihram for Hajj, and leave Umrah for now.’ I did that. Then, we had finished Hajj, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) sent me with Abdur-Rahman Abi Bakr to At-Tanim and I performed Umrah. He said: ‘This is place of your Umrah.’ And those who had entered Ihram for Umrah circumambulated the House and went between As-Safa and Al-Marwah. Then they exited Ihram, and then they performed another Tawaf after they returned from Mina for Hajj. As for those who joined Hajj and Umrah, they performed one Tawaf.””

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِىُّ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَأَهْلَلْنَا بِعُمْرَةٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْىٌ فَلْيُهِلَّ بِالْحَجِّ مَعَ الْعُمْرَةِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَحِلُّ حَتَّى يَحِلَّ مِنْهُمَا جَمِيعًا ». قَالَتْ فَقَدِمْتُ مَكَّةَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ لَمْ أَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ وَلاَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ فَشَكَوْتُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَقَالَ « انْقُضِى رَأْسَكِ وَامْتَشِطِى وَأَهِلِّى بِالْحَجِّ وَدَعِى الْعُمْرَةَ ». قَالَتْ فَفَعَلْتُ فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا الْحَجَّ أَرْسَلَنِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- مَعَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِى بَكْرٍ إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ فَاعْتَمَرْتُ فَقَالَ « هَذِهِ مَكَانَ عُمْرَتِكِ ». فَطَافَ الَّذِينَ أَهَلُّوا بِالْعُمْرَةِ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ثُمَّ حَلُّوا ثُمَّ طَافُوا طَوَافًا آخَرَ بَعْدَ أَنْ رَجَعُوا مِنْ مِنًى لِحَجِّهِمْ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَانُوا جَمَعُوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ فَإِنَّمَا طَافُوا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا.

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her], the wife of Messenger of Allah (SAW), said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) during the year of Farewell pilgrimage, and some of us entered Ihram for Umrah and some of us entered Ihram for Hajj. When we came to Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ‘Whoever entered Ihram for Umrah and did not bring a sacrificial animal, let him exit Ihram, Whoever entered Ihram for Umrah and did bring a sacrificial animal, let him not exit Ihram until he has offered his sacrifice. And whoever entered Ihram for Hajj, let him complete his Hajj.’” Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “My menses began, and I continued to menstruate until the Day of Arafah, and I only entered Ihram for Umrah. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) told me to undo my hair and combs it, and enters Ihram for Hajj, and to forget about Umrah. I did that, until, when I completed my Hajj, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) sent Abdul- Rahman bin Abi Bakr with me and told me to perform Umrah from At-Tanim, to make up for the Umrah that I had abandoned when the time of Hajj came.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ حَدَّثَنِى أَبِى عَنْ جَدِّى حَدَّثَنِى عُقَيْلُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ حَتَّى قَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « مَنْ أَحْرَمَ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَلَمْ يُهْدِ فَلْيَحْلِلْ وَمَنْ أَحْرَمَ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَأَهْدَى فَلاَ يَحِلُّ حَتَّى يَنْحَرَ هَدْيَهُ وَمَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ فَلْيُتِمَّ حَجَّهُ ». قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ - رضى الله عنها - فَحِضْتُ فَلَمْ أَزَلْ حَائِضًا حَتَّى كَانَ يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ وَلَمْ أُهْلِلْ إِلاَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَأَمَرَنِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَنْ أَنْقُضَ رَأْسِى وَأَمْتَشِطَ وَأُهِلَّ بِحَجٍّ وَأَتْرُكَ الْعُمْرَةَ - قَالَتْ - فَفَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى إِذَا قَضَيْتُ حَجَّتِى بَعَثَ مَعِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِى بَكْرٍ وَأَمَرَنِى أَنْ أَعْتَمِرَ مِنَ التَّنْعِيمِ مَكَانَ عُمْرَتِى الَّتِى أَدْرَكَنِى الْحَجُّ وَلَمْ أَحْلِلْ مِنْهَا.

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her], the wife of Messenger of Allah (SAW), said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) during the year of Farewell pilgrimage,And I entered Ihram for Umrah, and I did not bring a sacrificial animal with me. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “Whoever has a sacrificial animal with him, let him enter Ihram for Hajj along with him Umrah, then not exit from Ihram until he exits Ihram for both.” My menses began, and when the night of Arafah began, I said: “O Messenger of Allah (SAW), I had entered Ihram for Umrah, so what should I do about my Hajj?” He said: “Undo your hair, comb it, stop Umrah and enter Ihram for Hajj.” She said: “When I finished my Hajj, he told Abdul- Rahman bin Abi Bakr to let me ride behind him and to take me for Umrah from At-Tanim, to make up for Umrah that I had abandoned.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِىِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَأَهْلَلْتُ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَلَمْ أَكُنْ سُقْتُ الْهَدْىَ فَقَالَ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْىٌ فَلْيُهْلِلْ بِالْحَجِّ مَعَ عُمْرَتِهِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَحِلَّ حَتَّى يَحِلَّ مِنْهُمَا جَمِيعًا ». قَالَتْ فَحِضْتُ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَتْ لَيْلَةُ عَرَفَةَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّى كُنْتُ أَهْلَلْتُ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَكَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِحَجَّتِى قَالَ « انْقُضِى رَأْسَكِ وَامْتَشِطِى وَأَمْسِكِى عَنِ الْعُمْرَةِ وَأَهِلِّى بِالْحَجِّ ». قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا قَضَيْتُ حَجَّتِى أَمَرَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِى بَكْرٍ فَأَرْدَفَنِى فَأَعْمَرَنِى مِنَ التَّنْعِيمِ مَكَانَ عُمْرَتِى الَّتِى أَمْسَكْتُ عَنْهَا.

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and he said: ‘Whoever among you wanted to enter Ihram for Hajj and Umrah, let him do so, and whoever wanted to enter Ihram for Hajj, let him do so, and whoever wanted to enter Ihram for Umrah, let him do so.’” Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) entered Ihram for Hajj and some people did the same, and some people entered Ihram for Umrah and Hajj, and some people entered Ihram for Umrah. I was the one of those who entered Ihram for Umrah.”

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِى عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِىِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَقَالَ « مَنْ أَرَادَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُهِلَّ بِحَجٍّ وَعُمْرَةٍ فَلْيَفْعَلْ وَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُهِلَّ بِحَجٍّ فَلْيُهِلَّ وَمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُهِلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَلْيُهِلَّ ». قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رضى الله عنها فَأَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- بِحَجٍّ وَأَهَلَّ بِهِ نَاسٌ مَعَهُ وَأَهَلَّ نَاسٌ بِالْعُمْرَةِ وَالْحَجِّ وَأَهَلَّ نَاسٌ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْعُمْرَةِ.

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) during the year of Farewell pilgrimage, near the time of appearance of crescent of Dhul-Hijjah. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ‘Whoever among you wants to enter Ihram for Umrah, let him do so. Were it not that I have brought the sacrificial animal with me; I would have entered Ihram for Umrah. Among the people there were some who entered Ihram for Umrah and some who entered Ihram for Hajj. I was one of those who entered Ihram for Umrah. We set out until we came to Makkah, but on the day of Arafah my menses began, and I did not exit Ihram for my Umrah. I complained about that to Messenger of Allah (SAW) and he said: “Forget about your Umrah. Undo your hair and comb it, and enter Ihram for Hajj.” She said: “I did that, then when it was the night of Al-Hasbah, and Allah had enabled us to complete our Hajj, he sent Abdul- Rahman bin Abi Bakr with me. He made me ride behind him and to took me out to At-Tanim, I entered Ihram for Umrah, and Allah enabled us to complete our Hajj and our Umrah.”“And there was no sacrifice, charity or fasting required because of that.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فِى حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ مُوَافِينَ لِهِلاَلِ ذِى الْحِجَّةِ - قَالَتْ - فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « مَنْ أَرَادَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُهِلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَلْيُهِلَّ فَلَوْلاَ أَنِّى أَهْدَيْتُ لأَهْلَلْتُ بِعُمْرَةٍ ». قَالَتْ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ - قَالَتْ - فَكُنْتُ أَنَا مِمَّنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَخَرَجْنَا حَتَّى قَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ فَأَدْرَكَنِى يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ لَمْ أَحِلَّ مِنْ عُمْرَتِى فَشَكَوْتُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَقَالَ « دَعِى عُمْرَتَكِ وَانْقُضِى رَأْسَكِ وَامْتَشِطِى وَأَهِلِّى بِالْحَجِّ ». قَالَتْ فَفَعَلْتُ فَلَمَّا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةُ الْحَصْبَةِ - وَقَدْ قَضَى اللَّهُ حَجَّنَا - أَرْسَلَ مَعِى عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِى بَكْرٍ فَأَرْدَفَنِى وَخَرَجَ بِى إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ فَأَهْلَلْتُ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَقَضَى اللَّهُ حَجَّنَا وَعُمْرَتَنَا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِى ذَلِكَ هَدْىٌ وَلاَ صَدَقَةٌ وَلاَ صَوْمٌ.

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) at the time of crescent moon of Dhul-Hijjah. Some of us entered Ihram for Umrah, some of us entered Ihram for Hajj and Umrah, and some of us entered Ihram for Hajj. I was the one who entered Ihram for Umrah….” And he quoted a similar hadith like theirs and he said therein: “Urwah said concerning that: Allah enabled her to complete her Hajj and Umrah.” Hisham said: “And no sacrifice, fasting or charity was required because of that.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- مُوَافِينَ لِهِلاَلِ ذِى الْحِجَّةِ مِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجَّةٍ فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ. وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِهِمَا وَقَالَ فِيهِ قَالَ عُرْوَةُ فِى ذَلِكَ إِنَّهُ قَضَى اللَّهُ حَجَّهَا وَعُمْرَتَهَا. قَالَ هِشَامٌ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِى ذَلِكَ هَدْىٌ وَلاَ صِيَامٌ وَلاَ صَدَقَةٌ.
