It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) during the year of Farewell pilgrimage. Some of us entered Ihram for Umrah, some of us entered Ihram for Hajj and Umrah, and some of us entered Ihram for Hajj. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) entered Ihram for Hajj. Those who had entered Ihram for Umrah exited Ihram, but those who had entered Ihram for Hajj or for both Hajj and Umrah, did not exit Ihram until the day of Sacrifice.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِى الأَسْوَدِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ وَعُمْرَةٍ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ وَأَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- بِالْحَجِّ فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَحَلَّ وَأَمَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ أَوْ جَمَعَ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ فَلَمْ يَحِلُّوا حَتَّى كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ.

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW), not thinking of anything but Hajj. When we were in Sarif, or close to it, my menses began. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) entered upon me and found me weeping. He said: “Have your menses begun?” I said: “Yes.” He said: ‘This is something that Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. Do what the pilgrims do, but do not circumambulate the House until you have performed Ghusl.’ And the Messenger of Allah (SAW) sacrificed cows on the behalf of his wives.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ - قَالَ عَمْرٌو حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ - عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَلاَ نُرَى إِلاَّ الْحَجَّ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِسَرِفَ أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْهَا حِضْتُ فَدَخَلَ عَلَىَّ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَأَنَا أَبْكِى فَقَالَ « أَنَفِسْتِ ». يَعْنِى الْحَيْضَةَ. - قَالَتْ - قُلْتُ نَعَمْ. قَالَ « إِنَّ هَذَا شَىْءٌ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ آدَمَ فَاقْضِى مَا يَقْضِى الْحَاجُّ غَيْرَ أَنْ لاَ تَطُوفِى بِالْبَيْتِ حَتَّى تَغْتَسِلِى ». قَالَتْ وَضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَنْ نِسَائِهِ بِالْبَقَرِ.

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW), not thinking of anything but Hajj, until we came to Sarif, where my menses began. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) entered upon me and found me weeping. He said: “Why are you weeping?” I said: “By Allah, I wish that I had not come out this year.” He said: “What is the matter with you? Have your menses begun?” I said: “Yes.” He said: “This is something that Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam – peace be upon him. Do what the pilgrims do, but do not circumambulate the House until you had purified yourself.” When I came to Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to his Companions: ‘Make it Umrah.’ So the people exited Ihram (after performing Umrah) except those who had sacrificial animals with them. The Prophet (SAW), Abu Bakr, Umar and those who were well off had sacrificial animals with them. Then they entered Ihram for Umrah when they went to Mina. On the Day of Sacrifice my menses ended, and the Messenger of Allah (SAW) told me to perform Tawaf Al-ifadah. Some beef was brought to us, and I said: ‘What is this?’ They said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (SAW) has scarified cows on behalf of his wives.’ When it was the night of Al-Hasbah I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (SAW), the people are going back having performed Hajj and Umrah, and I am going back having performed Hajj (only).’ So he told Abdur –Rahman bin Abi Bakr to led me ride behind him on his camel. I remember that I was a young girl and I got sleepy and my face touched the back of saddle. Then we came to At-Tanim where I entered Ihram for Umrah, to make up for the Umrah that the people had already done.”

حَدَّثَنِى سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الْغَيْلاَنِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِى سَلَمَةَ الْمَاجِشُونُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لاَ نَذْكُرُ إِلاَّ الْحَجَّ حَتَّى جِئْنَا سَرِفَ فَطَمِثْتُ فَدَخَلَ عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَأَنَا أَبْكِى فَقَالَ « مَا يُبْكِيكِ ». فَقُلْتُ وَاللَّهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّى لَمْ أَكُنْ خَرَجْتُ الْعَامَ قَالَ « مَا لَكِ لَعَلَّكِ نَفِسْتِ ». قُلْتُ نَعَمْ. قَالَ « هَذَا شَىْءٌ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ آدَمَ افْعَلِى مَا يَفْعَلُ الْحَاجُّ غَيْرَ أَنْ لاَ تَطُوفِى بِالْبَيْتِ حَتَّى تَطْهُرِى ». قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا قَدِمْتُ مَكَّةَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لأَصْحَابِهِ « اجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً ». فَأَحَلَّ النَّاسُ إِلاَّ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْىُ - قَالَتْ - فَكَانَ الْهَدْىُ مَعَ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَأَبِى بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَذَوِى الْيَسَارَةِ ثُمَّ أَهَلُّوا حِينَ رَاحُوا - قَالَتْ - فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ طَهَرْتُ فَأَمَرَنِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَأَفَضْتُ - قَالَتْ - فَأُتِينَا بِلَحْمِ بَقَرٍ. فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا فَقَالُوا أَهْدَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَنْ نِسَائِهِ الْبَقَرَ. فَلَمَّا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةُ الْحَصْبَةِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَرْجِعُ النَّاسُ بِحَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ وَأَرْجِعُ بِحَجَّةٍ قَالَتْ فَأَمَرَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِى بَكْرٍ فَأَرْدَفَنِى عَلَى جَمَلِهِ - قَالَتْ - فَإِنِّى لأَذْكُرُ وَأَنَا جَارِيَةٌ حَدِيثَةُ السِّنِّ أَنْعُسُ فَتُصِيبُ وَجْهِى مُؤْخِرَةُ الرَّحْلِ حَتَّى جِئْنَا إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ فَأَهْلَلْتُ مِنْهَا بِعُمْرَةٍ جَزَاءً بِعُمْرَةِ النَّاسِ الَّتِى اعْتَمَرُوا.

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “We said Talbiyah for Hajj, then when we were in Sarif my menses began. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) entered upon me and found me weeping…” and he quoted a hadith like that of Al-Majishun (no 2919), except that is does not say in the hadith of Hammad: “The Prophet (SAW), Abu Bakr, Umar and those who were well off had sacrificial animals with them. Then they entered Ihram for Umrah when they went to Mina,” nor the words of Aishah: “I was a young girl and I got sleepy and my face touched the back of the saddle.”

وَحَدَّثَنِى أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الْغَيْلاَنِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ لَبَّيْنَا بِالْحَجِّ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِسَرِفَ حِضْتُ فَدَخَلَ عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَأَنَا أَبْكِى. وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ الْمَاجِشُونِ. غَيْرَ أَنَّ حَمَّادًا لَيْسَ فِى حَدِيثِهِ فَكَانَ الْهَدْىُ مَعَ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَأَبِى بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَذَوِى الْيَسَارَةِ ثُمَّ أَهَلُّوا حِينَ رَاحُوا وَلاَ قَوْلُهَا وَأَنَا جَارِيَةٌ حَدِيثَةُ السِّنِّ أَنْعُسُ فَتُصِيبُ وَجْهِى مُؤْخِرَةُ الرَّحْلِ.

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW), entering Ihram for Hajj, during the month of Hajj, in the places of Hajj, and in the nights of Hajj, until we camped at Sarif. He came out to his Companions and said: ‘Whoever among you does not have a sacrificial animal with him and wants to make it Umrah, let him to do so, and whoever has a sacrificial animal with him, let him not do that.’ Some of them followed that, and some did not, among those who did not have a sacrificial animal with them. As for the Messenger of Allah (SAW), he had a sacrificial animal with him, and some of his Companions could also afford it. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) entered upon me and found me weeping. He said: ‘Why are you weeping?’ I said: ‘I heard what you said to your Companions, and I heard about Umrah, [and I have been prevented from performing Umrah]. He said: ‘What is the matter with you?’ I said: ‘I am not praying (meaning: I am in menses.)’ He said: ‘That does not matter. Do the (rituals of) Hajj, and perhaps Allah will compensate you for this. You are one of the daughters of Adam, and Allah has decreed for you what He has decreed for them.’ So I went out for my Hajj, until we camped in Mina, where I purified myself then we circumambulated the House. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) camped at Al- Muhassab, and he called Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Bakr and said: ‘Take your sister out of the sanctuary and let her enter Ihram for Umrah, then let her circumambulate the House, and I will wait for you here.’ So we went out and I entered Ihram, then I circumambulate the House and went between As-Safa and Al-Marwah, then we came to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) in his tent in the middle of the night. He said: ‘Have you finished?’ I said: ‘Yes.’ He gave his Companions permission to move on, and he passed by the Kabah and circumambulates it before praying Subh, then he left for Al- Madina.’”¬

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَفْلَحَ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- مُهِلِّينَ بِالْحَجِّ فِى أَشْهُرِ الْحَجِّ وَفِى حُرُمِ الْحَجِّ وَلَيَالِى الْحَجِّ حَتَّى نَزَلْنَا بِسَرِفَ فَخَرَجَ إِلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ « مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ مِنْكُمْ هَدْىٌ فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهَا عُمْرَةً فَلْيَفْعَلْ وَمَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْىٌ فَلاَ ». فَمِنْهُمُ الآخِذُ بِهَا وَالتَّارِكُ لَهَا مِمَّنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْىٌ فَأَمَّا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَكَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْىُ وَمَعَ رِجَالٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ لَهُمْ قُوَّةٌ فَدَخَلَ عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَأَنَا أَبْكِى فَقَالَ « مَا يُبْكِيكِ ». قُلْتُ سَمِعْتُ كَلاَمَكَ مَعَ أَصْحَابِكَ فَسَمِعْتُ بِالْعُمْرَةِ فَمُنِعْتُ الْعُمْرَةَ. قَالَ « وَمَا لَكِ ». قُلْتُ لاَ أُصَلِّى. قَالَ « فَلاَ يَضُرُّكِ فَكُونِى فِى حَجِّكِ فَعَسَى اللَّهُ أَنْ يَرْزُقَكِيهَا وَإِنَّمَا أَنْتِ مِنْ بَنَاتِ آدَمَ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكِ مَا كَتَبَ عَلَيْهِنَّ ». قَالَتْ فَخَرَجْتُ فِى حَجَّتِى حَتَّى نَزَلْنَا مِنًى فَتَطَهَّرْتُ ثُمَّ طُفْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ وَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- الْمُحَصَّبَ فَدَعَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِى بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ « اخْرُجْ بِأُخْتِكَ مِنَ الْحَرَمِ فَلْتُهِلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ ثُمَّ لْتَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ فَإِنِّى أَنْتَظِرُكُمَا هَا هُنَا ». قَالَتْ فَخَرَجْنَا فَأَهْلَلْتُ ثُمَّ طُفْتُ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ فَجِئْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَهُوَ فِى مَنْزِلِهِ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ « هَلْ فَرَغْتِ ». قُلْتُ نَعَمْ. فَآذَنَ فِى أَصْحَابِهِ بِالرَّحِيلِ فَخَرَجَ فَمَرَّ بِالْبَيْتِ فَطَافَ بِهِ قَبْلَ صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ.

It was narrated that the Mother of the Believers, Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “Some of us entered Ihram for Hajj alone, and some of us entered Ihram for Qiran and some of us entered Ihram for Hajj Tamattu.”

حَدَّثَنِى يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ مِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ مُفْرِدًا وَمِنَّا مَنْ قَرَنَ وَمِنَّا مَنْ تَمَتَّعَ.

It was narrated that Amrah said: ‘I heard Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] say: ‘We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) five days before the end of Dhul- Qadah, not thinking of anything but Hajj. When we drew near to Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) ordered those who did not have sacrificial animals with them to exit Ihram after circumambulating the House and (running) between As-Safa and Al-Marwah.’ Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: ‘Then some beef was brought to us on the Day of Sacrifice and I said: ‘What is this?’ It was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (SAW) has offered a sacrifice on behalf of his wives.’’’Yahya said: ‘I mentioned this hadith of Al-Qasim bin Muhammad and he said: ‘She has narrated the hadith correctly to you.’’

وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ بِلاَلٍ - عَنْ يَحْيَى - وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ - عَنْ عَمْرَةَ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - تَقُولُ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِى الْقَعْدَةِ وَلاَ نُرَى إِلاَّ أَنَّهُ الْحَجُّ حَتَّى إِذَا دَنَوْنَا مِنْ مَكَّةَ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْىٌ إِذَا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ أَنْ يَحِلَّ. قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ رضى الله عنها فَدُخِلَ عَلَيْنَا يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ بِلَحْمِ بَقَرٍ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا فَقِيِلَ ذَبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ. قَالَ يَحْيَى فَذَكَرْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ لِلْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ فَقَالَ أَتَتْكَ وَاللَّهِ بِالْحَدِيثِ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ.

It was narrated that the Mother of Believers said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (SAW), the people are leaving, having done two rituals, and I am leaving having done only one.’ He said: ‘Wait and when you have become pure, go out to At-Tanim and enter Ihram from there, then meet us at such and such a place’ he (the narrator) said: “I think he said: ‘Tomorrow’” “‘and you will have a reward (for Umrah) equivalent to your effort or your expenditure.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ح وَعَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ بِنُسُكَيْنِ وَأَصْدُرُ بِنُسُكٍ وَاحِدٍ قَالَ « انْتَظِرِى فَإِذَا طَهَرْتِ فَاخْرُجِى إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ فَأَهِلِّى مِنْهُ ثُمَّ الْقَيْنَا عِنْدَ كَذَا وَكَذَا - قَالَ أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ غَدًا - وَلَكِنَّهَا عَلَى قَدْرِ نَصَبِكِ - أَوْ قَالَ - نَفَقَتِكِ ».

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “We set out with the Messenger of Allah (SAW), not thinking of anything but Hajj. When we came to Makkah, we circumambulated the House, and then the Messenger of Allah (SAW) ordered those who had not brought sacrificial animals with them to exit Ihram. Those who had not brought sacrificial animals with them exited the Ihram, and his wives had not brought sacrificial animals with them, so they exited the Ihram.” Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “Then my menses began so I did not circumambulate the House. When it was the night of Al-Hasbah, I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (SAW), the people are going back having done with Umrah and Hajj, but I am going back having done Hajj only.’ He said: “Did you not circumambulate the House the night we came to Makkah?” I said: ‘No.’ he said: ‘Then go with your brother to At-Tanim, and enter Ihram for Umrah, then we will meet at such-and-such a place. ’”Safiyyah said: “I think that I have detained you.” He said: ‘(May you become) barren and shaven- headed.’ Did you not perform Tawaf on the Day of Sacrifice? She said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘it does not matter then, move on.’Aishah said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) met me as he was going up from Makkah and I was coming down to it- or as I was going up and he was coming down from it.”

حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَلاَ نَرَى إِلاَّ أَنَّهُ الْحَجُّ فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ تَطَوَّفْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ سَاقَ الْهَدْىَ أَنْ يَحِلَّ - قَالَتْ - فَحَلَّ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ سَاقَ الْهَدْىَ وَنِسَاؤُهُ لَمْ يَسُقْنَ الْهَدْىَ فَأَحْلَلْنَ. قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَحِضْتُ فَلَمْ أَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ فَلَمَّا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةُ الْحَصْبَةِ - قَالَتْ - قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَرْجِعُ النَّاسُ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَحَجَّةٍ وَأَرْجِعُ أَنَا بِحَجَّةٍ قَالَ « أَوَمَا كُنْتِ طُفْتِ لَيَالِىَ قَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ ». قَالَتْ قُلْتُ لاَ. قَالَ « فَاذْهَبِى مَعَ أَخِيكِ إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ فَأَهِلِّى بِعُمْرَةٍ ثُمَّ مَوْعِدُكِ مَكَانَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ». قَالَتْ صَفِيَّةُ مَا أُرَانِى إِلاَّ حَابِسَتَكُمْ قَالَ « عَقْرَى حَلْقَى أَوَمَا كُنْتِ طُفْتِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ». قَالَتْ بَلَى. قَالَ « لاَ بَأْسَ انْفِرِىقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَلَقِيَنِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَهُوَ مُصْعِدٌ مِنْ مَكَّةَ وَأَنَا مُنْهَبِطَةٌ عَلَيْهَا أَوْ أَنَا مُصْعِدَةٌ وَهُوَ مُنْهَبِطٌ مِنْهَا. وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ مُتَهَبِّطَةٌ وَمُتَهَبِّطٌ.

It was narrated that Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her] said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) came on the fourth or fifth day of Dhul-Hijjah, and he entered upon me in an angry state. I said: ‘Who has made you angry, O Messenger of Allah (SAW)? May Allah cause him to enter the Fire!’ He said: ‘Do you not realize that I ordered the people to do something and they are hesitating? If I had known before what I know now, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal with me, and I would have bought it (in Makkah), and I would have exited Ihram as they have done.’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ غُنْدَرٍ - قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ - حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ مَوْلَى عَائِشَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ -رضى الله عنها - أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لأَرْبَعٍ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ ذِى الْحِجَّةِ أَوْ خَمْسٍ فَدَخَلَ عَلَىَّ وَهُوَ غَضْبَانُ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ أَغْضَبَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ النَّارَ. قَالَ « أَوَمَا شَعَرْتِ أَنِّى أَمَرْتُ النَّاسَ بِأَمْرٍ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَتَرَدَّدُونَ قَالَ الْحَكَمُ كَأَنَّهُمْ يَتَرَدَّدُونَ أَحْسِبُ -وَلَوْ أَنِّى اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِى مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ مَا سُقْتُ الْهَدْىَ مَعِى حَتَّى أَشْتَرِيَهُ ثُمَّ أَحِلُّ كَمَا حَلُّوا ».
