It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "A man came to the Prophet (s.a.w) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I was stung by a scorpion last night.' He said: 'If you had said, when evening came, "A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq (I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created)" it would not have harmed you."'

There is no refuge or safe haven from You except with You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed, and in Your Prophet whom You have sent).' Make these your last words. Then if you die that night, you will have died in a state of Fitrah." If You cause it to live then protect it and if You cause it to die then forgive it. O Allah, I ask You to keep me safe and sound)." A man said to him: "Did you hear that from 'Umar?" He said: "From one who is better than 'Umar, from the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w)." Ibn Nafi' said in his report: "It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Al-Harith," and he did not say: "I heard."
