تَنَزَّلُ عَلٰی كُلِّ اَفَّاكٍ اَثِیْمٍۙ۝۲۲۲

They come down to every mendacious sinner,

یُّلْقُوْنَ السَّمْعَ وَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ كٰذِبُوْنَؕ۝۲۲۳

Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars.

وَ الشُّعَرَآءُ یَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوٗنَؕ۝۲۲۴

As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them.

اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّهُمْ فِیْ كُلِّ وَادٍ یَّهِیْمُوْنَۙ۝۲۲۵

Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley,

وَ اَنَّهُمْ یَقُوْلُوْنَ مَا لَا یَفْعَلُوْنَۙ۝۲۲۶

And they say what they do not do,

اِلَّا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَ ذَكَرُوا اللّٰهَ كَثِیْرًا وَّ انْتَصَرُوْا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوْا ؕ وَ سَیَعْلَمُ الَّذِیْنَ ظَلَمُوْۤا اَیَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ یَّنْقَلِبُوْنَ۠۝۲۲۷

Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown!
