وَ اذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَاۤ اَیُّوْبَ ۘ اِذْ نَادٰی رَبَّهٗۤ اَنِّیْ مَسَّنِیَ الشَّیْطٰنُ بِنُصْبٍ وَّ عَذَابٍؕ۝۴۱

Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress."

اُرْكُضْ بِرِجْلِكَ ۚ هٰذَا مُغْتَسَلٌۢ بَارِدٌ وَّ شَرَابٌ۝۴۲

"Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking."

وَ وَهَبْنَا لَهٗۤ اَهْلَهٗ وَ مِثْلَهُمْ مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَ ذِكْرٰی لِاُولِی الْاَلْبَابِ۝۴۳

We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. --

وَ خُذْ بِیَدِكَ ضِغْثًا فَاضْرِبْ بِّهٖ وَ لَا تَحْنَثْ ؕ اِنَّا وَجَدْنٰهُ صَابِرًا ؕ نِّعْمَ الْعَبْدُ ؕ اِنَّهٗۤ اَوَّابٌ۝۴۴

"Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance.

وَ اذْكُرْ عِبٰدَنَاۤ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ وَ اِسْحٰقَ وَ یَعْقُوْبَ اُولِی الْاَیْدِیْ وَ الْاَبْصَارِ۝۴۵

Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight.

اِنَّاۤ اَخْلَصْنٰهُمْ بِخَالِصَةٍ ذِكْرَی الدَّارِۚ۝۴۶

We distinguished them for the distinct remembrance of the abode (of the Hereafter).

وَ اِنَّهُمْ عِنْدَنَا لَمِنَ الْمُصْطَفَیْنَ الْاَخْیَارِؕ۝۴۷

They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight.

وَ اذْكُرْ اِسْمٰعِیْلَ وَ الْیَسَعَ وَ ذَا الْكِفْلِ ؕ وَ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الْاَخْیَارِؕ۝۴۸

And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu´l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best.

هٰذَا ذِكْرٌ ؕ وَ اِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِیْنَ لَحُسْنَ مَاٰبٍۙ۝۴۹

This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return --

جَنّٰتِ عَدْنٍ مُّفَتَّحَةً لَّهُمُ الْاَبْوَابُۚ۝۵۰

Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them,
