Read All Ahadith In The Book Of muslim

It was narrated that Khalid bin Dhakwan said: “I asked Ar-Rubayy bint Muawwidh about fasting on Ashura and she said: “The Messenger of Allah sent his envoys to the villages of the Ansar...” and he mentioned a Hadith similar to that of Bishr (no. 2669), except that he said: “And we would make them a toy out of wool, and take it with us, and if they asked us for food, we would give them the toy to play with, until they completed their fast.”

وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ الرُّبَيِّعَ بِنْتَ مُعَوِّذٍ عَنْ صَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ قَالَتْ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- رُسُلَهُ فِى قُرَى الأَنْصَارِ. فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ بِشْرٍ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَنَصْنَعُ لَهُمُ اللُّعْبَةَ مِنَ الْعِهْنِ فَنَذْهَبُ بِهِ مَعَنَا فَإِذَا سَأَلُونَا الطَّعَامَ أَعْطَيْنَاهُمُ اللُّعْبَةَ تُلْهِيهِمْ حَتَّى يُتِمُّوا صَوْمَهُمْ.

It was narrated that Abu Ubaid, the freed slave of Ibn Azhar, said: “I attended Id with Umar bin Al-Khattab [may Allah be please with them]. He came and prayed, then he stood and addressed the people saying: ‘These are two days when the Messenger of Allah forbade fasting, the day when you break your fast and the other day, when you eat from your sacrifices.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِى عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ أَزْهَرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ الْعِيدَ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ - رضى الله عنه - فَجَاءَ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذَيْنِ يَوْمَانِ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَنْ صِيَامِهِمَا يَوْمُ فِطْرِكُمْ مِنْ صِيَامِكُمْ وَالآخَرُ يَوْمٌ تَأْكُلُونَ فِيهِ مِنْ نُسُكِكُمْ.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with them] that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) forbade fasing on two days: The day of Al-Adha and the day of Al-Fitr.

وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- نَهَى عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمَيْنِ يَوْمِ الأَضْحَى وَيَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ.

It was narrated that Qazah said, concerning Abu Saeed Al-Khudri [may Allah be please with them]: “I heard a Hadith from him that impressed me, so I said to him: ‘Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah? He said: ‘Would I attribute to the Messenger of Allah something that I did not hear?’ He said: ‘I heard him say: “Fasting is not good on two days: The day of Al-Adha and the day of Al-Fitr (breaking the fast) after Ramadan.”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُمَيْرٍ - عَنْ قَزَعَةَ عَنْ أَبِى سَعِيدٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مِنْهُ حَدِيثًا فَأَعْجَبَنِى فَقُلْتُ لَهُ آنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ فَأَقُولُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- مَا لَمْ أَسْمَعْ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ « لاَ يَصْلُحُ الصِّيَامُ فِى يَوْمَيْنِ يَوْمِ الأَضْحَى وَيَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ».

It was narrated that Ziyad bin Khubair said: “A man came to Ibn Umar [may Allah be pleased with them] and said: ‘I vowed to fast on a day which coincides with the day of Al-Adha, or Al-Fitr.’ Ibn Umar [may Allah be pleased with them] said: ‘Allah has enjoined fulfillment of vows, but the Messenger of Allah forbade fasting on this day.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ - رضى الله عنهما - فَقَالَ إِنِّى نَذَرْتُ أَنْ أَصُومَ يَوْمًا فَوَافَقَ يَوْمَ أَضْحَى أَوْ فِطْرٍ. فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رضى الله عنهما أَمَرَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى بِوَفَاءِ النَّذْرِ وَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَنْ صَوْمِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ.

It was narrated from Ibn Kab bin Malik that his father narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah sent him and Aws bin Al-Hadathan during the days of At-Tashriq to call out: “No one will enter Paradise but a believer, and the days of Mina are days of eating and drinking.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِى الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- بَعَثَهُ وَأَوْسَ بْنَ الْحَدَثَانِ أَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ فَنَادَى « أَنَّهُ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلاَّ مُؤْمِنٌ. وَأَيَّامُ مِنًى أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ ».

It was narrated from Muhammad bin Abbad bin Jafar: “I asked Jabir bin Abdullah [may Allah be pleased with them] while he was circumambulating the Kabah: ‘Did the Messenger of Allah forbid fasting on Friday?’ He said: ‘Yes, by the Lord of this House.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - رضى الله عنهما - وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ أَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ وَرَبِّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with them] said: “The Messenger of Allah said: ‘None of you should fast on Friday, unless he fasts (a day) before it or after it.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِى صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « لاَ يَصُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَصُومَ قَبْلَهُ أَوْ يَصُومَ بَعْدَهُ ».

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with them] that the Prophet said: “Do not single out the night of Friday for praying Qiyam and do not single out the day of Friday for fasting, unless that coincides with a fast that one (habitually) observes.”

وَحَدَّثَنِى أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ - يَعْنِى الْجُعْفِىَّ - عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - عَنِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « لاَ تَخْتَصُّوا لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ بِقِيَامٍ مِنْ بَيْنِ اللَّيَالِى وَلاَ تَخُصُّوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ بِصِيَامٍ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأَيَّامِ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ فِى صَوْمٍ يَصُومُهُ أَحَدُكُمْ ».

It was narrated that Salamah bin Al-Akwa’ [may Allah be pleased with them] said: “When the following verse was revealed: ‘And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (e.g. an old man), they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a Miskin (poor person)(for every day)..’ those who wanted to break the fast and pay the Fidyah (did so), until the verse which comes after it was revealed, which abrogated it.”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرٌ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ مُضَرَ - عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ (وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ) كَانَ مَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ وَيَفْتَدِىَ. حَتَّى نَزَلَتِ الآيَةُ الَّتِى بَعْدَهَا فَنَسَخَتْهَا.
