قَالُوْۤا اَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَ اتَّبَعَكَ الْاَرْذَلُوْنَؕ۝۱۱۱

They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?"

قَالَ وَ مَا عِلْمِیْ بِمَا كَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَۚ۝۱۱۲

He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing.

اِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ اِلَّا عَلٰی رَبِّیْ لَوْ تَشْعُرُوْنَۚ۝۱۱۳

It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand.

وَ مَاۤ اَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَۚ۝۱۱۴

I am certainly not one to drive away the believers.

اِنْ اَنَا اِلَّا نَذِیْرٌ مُّبِیْنٌؕ۝۱۱۵

I am only a plain admonisher."

قَالُوْا لَىِٕنْ لَّمْ تَنْتَهِ یٰنُوْحُ لَتَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُوْمِیْنَؕ۝۱۱۶

They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death."

قَالَ رَبِّ اِنَّ قَوْمِیْ كَذَّبُوْنِۚۖ۝۱۱۷

He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies.

فَافْتَحْ بَیْنِیْ وَ بَیْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَّ نَجِّنِیْ وَ مَنْ مَّعِیَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ۝۱۱۸

So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me."

فَاَنْجَیْنٰهُ وَ مَنْ مَّعَهٗ فِی الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُوْنِۚ۝۱۱۹

So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark,

ثُمَّ اَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبٰقِیْنَؕ۝۱۲۰

And drowned the rest of them.
