It was narrated from Nafi that Ibn Umar used to think that (stopping in) Al-Hasbah was Sunnah, and he used to pray Zuhr on the day of departure from Mina in Al-Hasbah.Nafi said: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) and the caliphs after him stopped in Al-Hasbah.

حَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَرَى التَّحْصِيبَ سُنَّةً وَكَانَ يُصَلِّى الظُّهْرَ يَوْمَ النَّفْرِ بِالْحَصْبَةِ. قَالَ نَافِعٌ قَدْ حَصَّبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَالْخُلَفَاءُ بَعْدَهُ.

It was narrated that Aishah said: “Stopping in Al-Abtah is not Sunnah, rather the Messenger of Allah (SAW) stopped there because it was easier for him to depart (for Al-Madinah) from there.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ نُزُولُ الأَبْطَحِ لَيْسَ بِسُنَّةٍ إِنَّمَا نَزَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لأَنَّهُ كَانَ أَسْمَحَ لِخُرُوجِهِ إِذَا خَرَجَ.

It was narrated from Salim that Abu Bakr, Umar and Ibn Umar used to halt in Al-Abtah.Az-Zuhri said: “Urwah informed me from Aishah, that she did not do that, and she said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (SAW) only halted there because it was a place from which it was easy to depart.’”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِىِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانُوا يَنْزِلُونَ الأَبْطَحَ. قَالَ الزُّهْرِىُّ وَأَخْبَرَنِى عُرْوَةُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ تَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَتْ إِنَّمَا نَزَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لأَنَّهُ كَانَ مَنْزِلاً أَسْمَحَ لِخُرُوجِهِ.

It was narrated that Sulaiman bin Yasar said: “Abu Rafi said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (SAW) did not tell me to stop in Al-Abtah when he departed from Mina, but I went there and set up his tent, and he came and halted.’”Abu Bakr said in the report of Salih: “I heard Sulaiman bin Yasar (say)” – and in the report of Qutaibah it says: “From Abu Rafi – and he was in charge of the luggage of the Prophet (SAW).”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو رَافِعٍ لَمْ يَأْمُرْنِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَنْ أَنْزِلَ الأَبْطَحَ حِينَ خَرَجَ مِنْ مِنًى وَلَكِنِّى جِئْتُ فَضَرَبْتُ فِيهِ قُبَّتَهُ فَجَاءَ فَنَزَلَ. قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِى رِوَايَةِ صَالِحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ. وَفِى رِوَايَةِ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ عَنْ أَبِى رَافِعٍ وَكَانَ عَلَى ثَقَلِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم-.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “We will halt tomorrow, if Allah wills, in Khaif of Abu Kinanah, where they (the disbelievers) swore an oath of disbelief.”

حَدَّثَنِى حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِى يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِى سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَنَّهُ قَالَ « نَنْزِلُ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ بِخَيْفِ بَنِى كِنَانَةَ حَيْثُ تَقَاسَمُوا عَلَى الْكُفْرِ ».

Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to us, while we were in Mina- ‘Tomorrow we will halt at Khaif of Banu Kinanah, where they (the disbelievers) swore an oath of disbelief.’”That was when the Quraish of Banu Kinanah swore a pledge against Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib, vowing not to intermarry with them nor engage in any transections with them until they handed the Messenger of Allah (SAW) over to them.” What was meant by that was Al-Muhassab.

حَدَّثَنِى زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنِى الأَوْزَاعِىُّ حَدَّثَنِى الزُّهْرِىُّ حَدَّثَنِى أَبُو سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَنَحْنُ بِمِنًى « نَحْنُ نَازِلُونَ غَدًا بِخَيْفِ بَنِى كِنَانَةَ حَيْثُ تَقَاسَمُوا عَلَى الْكُفْرِ ». وَذَلِكَ إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا وَبَنِى كِنَانَةَ تَحَالَفَتْ عَلَى بَنِى هَاشِمٍ وَبَنِى الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنْ لاَ يُنَاكِحُوهُمْ وَلاَ يُبَايِعُوهُمْ حَتَّى يُسْلِمُوا إِلَيْهِمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَعْنِى بِذَلِكَ الْمُحَصَّبَ.

It was narrated from Ibn Umar, that Al-Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib asked the Messenger of Allah (SAW) for the permission to stay overnight in Makkah during the days of Mina, because he was a supplier of water , and he gave him permission.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِى حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِى نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَنْ يَبِيتَ بِمَكَّةَ لَيَالِىَ مِنًى مِنْ أَجْلِ سِقَايَتِهِ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ.

It was narrated that Bakr bin Abdullah Al-Muzani said: “I was sitting with Ibn Abbas at the Kabah, and a Bedouin came to him and said: ‘Why do I see the sons of your paternal uncle supplying honey and milk, and you supply Nabidh? Is it because of poverty on your part, or because of miserliness?’ Ibn Abbas said: ‘Praise be to Allah, we are neither poor nor miserly. The Prophet (SAW) came on his mount, with Usamah behind him, and asked for something to drink. We gave him a vessel of Nabidh, and he drank it, and he gave his remaining to Usamah to drink. And he said (to us): “You have done good and have done well. Carry on doing that.” And we do not want to change what the Messenger of Allah (SAW) commanded us to do.’”

وَحَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ الضَّرِيرُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِىِّ قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عِنْدَ الْكَعْبَةِ فَأَتَاهُ أَعْرَابِىٌّ فَقَالَ مَا لِى أَرَى بَنِى عَمِّكُمْ يَسْقُونَ الْعَسَلَ وَاللَّبَنَ وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْقُونَ النَّبِيذَ أَمِنْ حَاجَةٍ بِكُمْ أَمْ مِنْ بُخْلٍ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ مَا بِنَا مِنْ حَاجَةٍ وَلاَ بُخْلٍ قَدِمَ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَخَلْفَهُ أُسَامَةُ فَاسْتَسْقَى فَأَتَيْنَاهُ بِإِنَاءٍ مِنْ نَبِيذٍ فَشَرِبَ وَسَقَى فَضْلَهُ أُسَامَةَ وَقَالَ « أَحْسَنْتُمْ وَأَجْمَلْتُمْ كَذَا فَاصْنَعُوا ». فَلاَ نُرِيدُ تَغْيِيرَ مَا أَمَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم-.

It was narrated that Ali said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) commanded me to take care of his sacrificial animals, and to give their meat, skins and blankets in charity, and not to give the butcher any of it (as wages). He said: ‘We will pay him ourselves.’”

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِى لَيْلَى عَنْ عَلِىٍّ قَالَ أَمَرَنِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَنْ أَقُومَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ وَأَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ بِلَحْمِهَا وَجُلُودِهَا وَأَجِلَّتِهَا وَأَنْ لاَ أُعْطِىَ الْجَزَّارَ مِنْهَا قَالَ « نَحْنُ نُعْطِيهِ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا ».

It was narrated that Jabir bin Abdullah said: “In the year of Al-Hudaybiyah we offered the sacrifice with the Messenger of Allah (SAW); a camel on behalf of seven, and a cow on behalf of seven.”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِى الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَحَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ الْبَدَنَةَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ وَالْبَقَرَةَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ.
