Read All Ahadith In The Book Of muslim

It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) wanted from Safiyyah bint Huyayy what a man wants from his wife, and they said: “She is menstruating, O Messenger of Allah.” He said: “Is she going to detain us?” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, she visited (the Ka‘bah Or Tawaf Al-Ifadah) on the Day of Sacrifice.” He said: “Then let her depart with you.”

حَدَّثَنِى الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنِى يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِىِّ - لَعَلَّهُ قَالَ - عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِى كَثِيرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِىِّ عَنْ أَبِى سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَرَادَ مِنْ صَفِيَّةَ بَعْضَ مَا يُرِيدُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ. فَقَالُوا إِنَّهَا حَائِضٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ. قَالَ « وَإِنَّهَا لَحَابِسَتُنَا ». فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا قَدْ زَارَتْ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ. قَالَ « فَلْتَنْفِرْ مَعَكُمْ ».

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) entered the Ka‘bah, accompanied by Usamah, Bilal and ‘Uthman bin Talhah Al-Hajabi. He closed the door and remained inside. Ibn ‘Umar said: “I asked Bilal when he came out: ‘What did the Messenger of Allah (SAW) do?’ He said: ‘He put two pillars on his left, one pillar on his right, and three pillars behind him’ – and at that time the House was built on six pillars - ‘then he prayed.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِىُّ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ هُوَ وَأُسَامَةُ وَبِلاَلٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ الْحَجَبِىُّ فَأَغْلَقَهَا عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ مَكَثَ فِيهَا. قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَسَأَلْتُ بِلاَلاً حِينَ خَرَجَ مَا صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ جَعَلَ عَمُودَيْنِ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَعَمُودًا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَثَلاَثَةَ أَعْمِدَةٍ وَرَاءَهُ - وَكَانَ الْبَيْتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَى سِتَّةِ أَعْمِدَةٍ - ثُمَّ صَلَّى.

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) came on the Day of the Conquest and dismounted in the courtyard of the Ka‘bah. He sent for ‘Uthman bin Talhah, who brought the key and opened the door. Then the Prophet (SAW), Bilal, Usamah bin Zaid and ‘Uthman bin Talhah entered and he ordered that the door be closed. They stayed inside for a while, then he opened the door.” ‘Abdullah (ibn ‘Umar) said: “I went ahead of the people and I met the Messenger of Allah coming out, with Bilal right behind him. I said to Bilal: ‘Did the Messenger of Allah (SAW) pray inside?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Where?’ He said: ‘Between the two pillars that were in front of him.”’ He said: “And I forgot to ask him how many (Ra‘kah) he prayed.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِىُّ وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِىُّ كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ - قَالَ أَبُو كَامِلٍ - حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَنَزَلَ بِفِنَاءِ الْكَعْبَةِ وَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ فَجَاءَ بِالْمِفْتَحِ فَفَتَحَ الْبَابَ - قَالَ - ثُمَّ دَخَلَ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَبِلاَلٌ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ وَأَمَرَ بِالْبَابِ فَأُغْلِقَ فَلَبِثُوا فِيهِ مَلِيًّا ثُمَّ فَتَحَ الْبَابَ. فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَبَادَرْتُ النَّاسَ فَتَلَقَّيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- خَارِجًا وَبِلاَلٌ عَلَى إِثْرِهِ فَقُلْتُ لِبِلاَلٍ هَلْ صَلَّى فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ نَعَمْ. قُلْتُ أَيْنَ قَالَ بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ تِلْقَاءَ وَجْهِهِ. قَالَ وَنَسِيتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ كَمْ صَلَّى.

It was narrated from Salim that his father said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) entered the House, accompanied by Usamah bin Zaid, Bilal and ‘Uthman bin Talhah. The door was closed on them, and when they opened it, I was the first one to go in. I met Bilal and asked him: ‘Did the Messenger of Allah (SAW) pray inside?’ He said: ‘Yes, he prayed between the two Yemeni pillars.’”

وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ رُمْحٍ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- الْبَيْتَ هُوَ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَبِلاَلٌ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ فَأَغْلَقُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَلَمَّا فَتَحُوا كُنْتُ فِى أَوَّلِ مَنْ وَلَجَ فَلَقِيتُ بِلاَلاً فَسَأَلْتُهُ هَلْ صَلَّى فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ نَعَمْ صَلَّى بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ.

Ibn Juraij said: “I said to ‘Ata’: ‘Did you hear Ibn ‘Abbas say: “You have only been commanded to circumambulate it, you have not been commanded to enter it?” He said: “He did not forbid (people) to enter it, rather I heard him say: ‘Usamah bin Zaid told me that when the Prophet (SAW) entered the House, he supplicated on all its sides, but he did not pray therein, until he came out. When he came out, he prayed two Ra‘kah in front of the House and said: ‘This is the Qiblah.”’ I (Ibn Juraij) said to him (‘Ata’): “What are ‘its sides?’ Was that in its corners?’ He said: “No, in every direction of the House.”

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ بَكْرٍ قَالَ عَبْدٌ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ أَسَمِعْتَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّمَا أُمِرْتُمْ بِالطَّوَافِ وَلَمْ تُؤْمَرُوا بِدُخُولِهِ. قَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَنْهَى عَنْ دُخُولِهِ وَلَكِنِّى سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَنِى أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لَمَّا دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ دَعَا فِى نَوَاحِيهِ كُلِّهَا وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فِيهِ حَتَّى خَرَجَ فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَكَعَ فِى قُبُلِ الْبَيْتِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ.وَقَالَ « هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ ». قُلْتُ لَهُ مَا نَوَاحِيهَا أَفِى زَوَايَاهَا قَالَ بَلْ فِى كُلِّ قِبْلَةٍ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ.

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to me: ‘Were it not that your people have only recently left disbelief behind, I would have demolished the Ka‘bah and rebuilt it on the foundations of Ibrahim. For when the Quraish rebuilt the House, they reduced its size. And I would have given it a rear door.”’

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ لِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « لَوْلاَ حَدَاثَةُ عَهْدِ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ لَنَقَضْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ وَلَجَعَلْتُهَا عَلَى أَسَاسِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَإِنَّ قُرَيْشًا حِينَ بَنَتِ الْبَيْتَ اسْتَقْصَرَتْ وَلَجَعَلْتُ لَهَا خَلْفًا ».

It was narrated from ‘Aishah, the wife of the Prophet that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “Do you not see that when your people rebuilt the Ka‘bah, they made it smaller than the foundations of Ibrahim?” She said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (SAW), why don’t you restore it or the foundations of lbrahim?’ The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ‘Were it not that your people have only recently left disbelief behind, I would have done that.”’ ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar said: “If ‘Aishah heard this from the Messenger of Allah (SAW) I would not think that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) stopped touching the two corners that are next to the Hijr, except that the House was not completed on the foundations of Ibrahim.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِى بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ أَخْبَرَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « أَلَمْ تَرَىْ أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حِينَ بَنَوُا الْكَعْبَةَ اقْتَصَرُوا عَنْ قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ». قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَفَلاَ تَرُدُّهَا عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « لَوْلاَ حِدْثَانُ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ لَفَعَلْتُ ». فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ لَئِنْ كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ سَمِعَتْ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- مَا أُرَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- تَرَكَ اسْتِلاَمَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ يَلِيَانِ الْحِجْرَ إِلاَّ أَنَّ الْبَيْتَ لَمْ يُتَمَّمْ عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ.

It was narrated that ‘Aishah, the wife of the Prophet (SAW) said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say: ‘Were it not that your people have only recently left Jahiliyyah – or disbelief - behind, I would have spent the treasure of the Ka‘bah in the cause of Allah, and I would have put its door at ground level, and I would have incorporated the Hijr into it.”’

حَدَّثَنِى أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ مَخْرَمَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنِى هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَيْلِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِى مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِى بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِى قُحَافَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « لَوْلاَ أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثُو عَهْدٍ بِجَاهِلِيَّةٍ - أَوْ قَالَ بِكُفْرٍ - لأَنْفَقْتُ كَنْزَ الْكَعْبَةِ فِى سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَجَعَلْتُ بَابَهَا بِالأَرْضِ وَلأَدْخَلْتُ فِيهَا مِنَ الْحِجْرِ ».

‘Abdullah bin Az-Zubair said: “My maternal aunt” - meaning ‘Aishah - “told me: ‘The Prophet (SAW) said: “O ‘Aishah, were it not that your people have only recently left Shirk behind, I would have demolished the Ka‘bah and razed it to the ground (and rebuilt it). And I would have given it two doors; an eastern door and a western door, and I would have added six cubits of the Hijr to it, for Quraish reduced its size when they rebuilt the Ka‘bah.”

وَحَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنِى ابْنُ مَهْدِىٍّ حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ مِينَاءَ - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَتْنِى خَالَتِى - يَعْنِى عَائِشَةَ - قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « يَا عَائِشَةُ لَوْلاَ أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثُو عَهْدٍ بِشِرْكٍ لَهَدَمْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ فَأَلْزَقْتُهَا بِالأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْتُ لَهَا بَابَيْنِ بَابًا شَرْقِيًّا وَبَابًا غَرْبِيًّا وَزِدْتُ فِيهَا سِتَّةَ أَذْرُعٍ مِنَ الْحِجْرِ فَإِنَّ قُرَيْشًا اقْتَصَرَتْهَا حَيْثُ بَنَتِ الْكَعْبَةَ ».

It was narrated that ‘Ata’ said: “When the Ka‘bah was burned during the time of Yazid bin Mu‘awiyah, while it was raided by the people of Ash-Sham, and what happened, Ibn Az-Zubair left it until the people came for Hajj, seeking to exhort them - or incite them - to fight the people of Ash-Sham. When the people arrived, he said: ‘O people, advise me with regard to the Ka‘bah. Should I demolish it and then rebuild it, or should I repair the damage that has been done to it?’ Ibn ‘Abbas said: ‘An idea has occurred to me concerning it. I think that you should repair the damage that has been done to it and leave it in the state it was when the people embraced Islam and the Prophet was sent.’ Ibn Az-Zubair said: ‘If the house of one of you was burned, would he be happy unless he rebuilt it? Then what about the House of your Lord? I will pray for guidance to my Lord (Istikharah) three times, then I will make up my mind.”’ “When he had prayed Istikharah three times, he made up his mind to demolish it. The people were afraid that some punishment would come down from heaven upon the first one to climb up onto it (to start the demolition), until one man climbed up and threw down one stone. When the people saw that nothing happened to him, they followed suit and demolished it until it was razed to the ground. Then Ibn Az-Zubair set up pillars and hung curtains around them, until the construction was completed.” “Ibn Az-Zubair said: ‘I heard ‘Aishah say: “The Prophet (SAW) said: ‘Were it not that your people have only recently left disbelief behind, and that I do not have the means to rebuild it, I would have incorporated five cubits of the Hijr into it, and I would have given it a door through which the people could enter, and a door through which they could exit.” “He said: ‘Today I have the means, and I do not fear the people.’ So he added five cubits of the Hijr to it, and he excavated the (original) foundations of (the Hijr) and the people looked at them, and he built on top of them.” The length of the Ka‘bah was eighteen cubits, and he added ten cubits to its length, and he gave it two doors; one for entering, and one for exiting. When Ibn Az-Zubair was killed, Al-Hajjaj wrote to ‘Abdul-Malik bin Marwan telling him of that, and telling him that Ibn Az-Zubair had built it on foundations that had been seen by witnesses of good character among the people of Makkah. ‘Abdul-Malik wrote to him saying: ‘We do not approve of what Ibn Az-Zubair did. As for what he added to its length, leave it as it is, and as for what he added to it of the Hijr, put it back as it was, and block up the door that he opened.’ So he demolished it and rebuilt it.”

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِىِّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِى زَائِدَةَ أَخْبَرَنِى ابْنُ أَبِى سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ لَمَّا احْتَرَقَ الْبَيْتُ زَمَنَ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ حِينَ غَزَاهَا أَهْلُ الشَّامِ فَكَانَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ مَا كَانَ تَرَكَهُ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ حَتَّى قَدِمَ النَّاسُ الْمَوْسِمَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُجَرِّئَهُمْ - أَوْ يُحَرِّبَهُمْ - عَلَى أَهْلِ الشَّامِ فَلَمَّا صَدَرَ النَّاسُ قَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَشِيرُوا عَلَىَّ فِى الْكَعْبَةِ أَنْقُضُهَا ثُمَّ أَبْنِى بِنَاءَهَا أَوْ أُصْلِحُ مَا وَهَى مِنْهَا قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَإِنِّى قَدْ فُرِقَ لِى رَأْىٌ فِيهَا أَرَى أَنْ تُصْلِحَ مَا وَهَى مِنْهَا وَتَدَعَ بَيْتًا أَسْلَمَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَحْجَارًا أَسْلَمَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهَا وَبُعِثَ عَلَيْهَا النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم-. فَقَالَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ لَوْ كَانَ أَحَدُكُمُ احْتَرَقَ بَيْتُهُ مَا رَضِىَ حَتَّى يُجِدَّهُ فَكَيْفَ بَيْتُ رَبِّكُمْ إِنِّى مُسْتَخِيرٌ رَبِّى ثَلاَثًا ثُمَّ عَازِمٌ عَلَى أَمْرِى فَلَمَّا مَضَى الثَّلاَثُ أَجْمَعَ رَأْيَهُ عَلَى أَنْ يَنْقُضَهَا فَتَحَامَاهُ النَّاسُ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ بِأَوَّلِ النَّاسِ يَصْعَدُ فِيهِ أَمْرٌ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ حَتَّى صَعِدَهُ رَجُلٌ فَأَلْقَى مِنْهُ حِجَارَةً فَلَمَّا لَمْ يَرَهُ النَّاسُ أَصَابَهُ شَىْءٌ تَتَابَعُوا فَنَقَضُوهُ حَتَّى بَلَغُوا بِهِ الأَرْضَ فَجَعَلَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَعْمِدَةً فَسَتَّرَ عَلَيْهَا السُّتُورَ حَتَّى ارْتَفَعَ بِنَاؤُهُ. وَقَالَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ إِنِّى سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « لَوْلاَ أَنَّ النَّاسَ حَدِيثٌ عَهْدُهُمْ بِكُفْرٍ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِى مِنَ النَّفَقَةِ مَا يُقَوِّى عَلَى بِنَائِهِ لَكُنْتُ أَدْخَلْتُ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحِجْرِ خَمْسَ أَذْرُعٍ وَلَجَعَلْتُ لَهَا بَابًا يَدْخُلُ النَّاسُ مِنْهُ وَبَابًا يَخْرُجُونَ مِنْهُ ». قَالَ فَأَنَا الْيَوْمَ أَجِدُ مَا أُنْفِقُ وَلَسْتُ أَخَافُ النَّاسَ - قَالَ - فَزَادَ فِيهِ خَمْسَ أَذْرُعٍ مِنَ الْحِجْرِ حَتَّى أَبْدَى أُسًّا نَظَرَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ فَبَنَى عَلَيْهِ الْبِنَاءَ وَكَانَ طُولُ الْكَعْبَةِ ثَمَانِىَ عَشْرَةَ ذِرَاعًا فَلَمَّا زَادَ فِيهِ اسْتَقْصَرَهُ فَزَادَ فِى طُولِهِ عَشَرَ أَذْرُعٍ وَجَعَلَ لَهُ بَابَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا يُدْخَلُ مِنْهُ وَالآخَرُ يُخْرَجُ مِنْهُ. فَلَمَّا قُتِلَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ كَتَبَ الْحَجَّاجُ إِلَى عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ يُخْبِرُهُ بِذَلِكَ وَيُخْبِرُهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ قَدْ وَضَعَ الْبِنَاءَ عَلَى أُسٍّ نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ الْعُدُولُ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ. فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ إِنَّا لَسْنَا مِنْ تَلْطِيخِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ فِى شَىْءٍ أَمَّا مَا زَادَ فِى طُولِهِ فَأَقِرَّهُ وَأَمَّا مَا زَادَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحِجْرِ فَرُدَّهُ إِلَى بِنَائِهِ وَسُدَّ الْبَابَ الَّذِى فَتَحَهُ. فَنَقَضَهُ وَأَعَادَهُ إِلَى بِنَائِهِ.
