Read All Ahadith In The Book Of muslim

It was narrated that Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah said: "I heard 'Abdullah bin Mughaffal Al-Muzani say: 'During the Conquest, when he was riding to Makkah, the Prophet (s.a.w) recited Surat Al-Fath atop his mount, and he elongated his recitation."' Mu'awiyah said: "Were it not that I fear that the people would crowd upon me, I would have demonstrated his recitation to you."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ وَوَكِيعٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُغَفَّلٍ الْمُزَنِىَّ يَقُولُ قَرَأَ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- عَامَ الْفَتْحِ فِى مَسِيرٍ لَهُ سُورَةَ الْفَتْحِ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ فَرَجَّعَ فِى قِرَاءَتِهِ. قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ لَوْلاَ أَنِّى أَخَافُ أَنْ يَجْتَمِعَ عَلَىَّ النَّاسُ لَحَكَيْتُ لَكُمْ قِرَاءَتَهُ.

It was narrated that Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah said: "I heard 'Abdullah bin Mughaffal say: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) on the Day of the Conquest of Makkah, on his mount, reciting Surat Al-Fath.' Ibn Mughaffal recited and elongated (his recitation)." Mu'awiyah said: "Were it not for the people, I would have demonstrated that which Ibn Mughaffal narrated from the Prophet (s.a.w)."

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُغَفَّلٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ يَقْرَأُ سُورَةَ الْفَتْحِ. قَالَ فَقَرَأَ ابْنُ مُغَفَّلٍ وَرَجَّعَ. فَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ لَوْلاَ النَّاسُ لأَخَذْتُ لَكُمْ بِذَلِكَ الَّذِى ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ مُغَفَّلٍ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم-.

It was narrated that Al-Bara' said: "A man was reciting Surat Al-Kahf, and he had a horse with him that was tied with two ropes. A cloud overshadowed it and started spinning and coming closer, and his horse was startled by it. The next morning he came to the Prophet (s.a.w) and told him about that. He said: 'That was tranquility (Sakinah) that came down because of the Qur'an."'

وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِى إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ كَانَ رَجُلٌ يَقْرَأُ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ وَعِنْدَهُ فَرَسٌ مَرْبُوطٌ بِشَطَنَيْنِ فَتَغَشَّتْهُ سَحَابَةٌ فَجَعَلَتْ تَدُورُ وَتَدْنُو وَجَعَلَ فَرَسُهُ يَنْفِرُ مِنْهَا فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ أَتَى النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ « تِلْكَ السَّكِينَةُ تَنَزَّلَتْ لِلْقُرْآنِ ».

It was narrated that Abu Ishaq said: "I heard Al-Bara' say: 'A man recited Surat Al-Kahf, and in the house there was an animal which became startled. He looked and saw that a cloud had overshadowed it. He mentioned that to the Prophet (s.a.w) and he said: Recite, so-and-so, for it is tranquility (Sakinah) that came down when the Qur'an (is recited)" or "that came down because of the Qur'an.'"

وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ - وَاللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ الْمُثَنَّى - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِى إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ يَقُولُ قَرَأَ رَجُلٌ الْكَهْفَ وَفِى الدَّارِ دَابَّةٌ فَجَعَلَتْ تَنْفِرُ فَنَظَرَ فَإِذَا ضَبَابَةٌ أَوْ سَحَابَةٌ قَدْ غَشِيَتْهُ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَقَالَ « اقْرَأْ فُلاَنُ فَإِنَّهَا السَّكِينَةُ تَنَزَّلَتْ عِنْدَ الْقُرْآنِ أَوْ تَنَزَّلَتْ لِلْقُرْآنِ ».

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that while Usaid bin Hudair was reciting Qur'an one night in his Mirbad, his horse jumped. He recited, and it jumped again. He recited, and it jumped yet again. Usaid said: "I was afraid that it would trample Yahya, so I went to it, and there was a shadow above my head, with something like lamps in it. It rose up in the air until I could no longer see it. The next day I went to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, while I was reciting Qur'an in my Mirbad last night in the middle of the night, my horse jumped.' The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'Recite, son of Hudair."' He said: "I recited, and it jumped again. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: , Recite, son of Hudair."' He said: "I recited and it jumped again. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'Recite, son of Hudair."' He said: "Then I left. Yahya was near the horse and I was afraid that it would trample him. I saw something like a cloud, with something like lamps in it; it rose up in the air until I could no longer see it. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'That was the Angels who were listening to you. If you had carried on reciting, the people would have seen them in the morning, and they would not have concealed themselves from them."'

وَحَدَّثَنِى حَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِىٍّ الْحُلْوَانِىُّ وَحَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ - وَتَقَارَبَا فِى اللَّفْظِ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِى حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْهَادِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ خَبَّابٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِىَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أُسَيْدَ بْنَ حُضَيْرٍ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ لَيْلَةً يَقْرَأُ فِى مِرْبَدِهِ إِذْ جَالَتْ فَرَسُهُ فَقَرَأَ ثُمَّ جَالَتْ أُخْرَى فَقَرَأَ ثُمَّ جَالَتْ أَيْضًا قَالَ أُسَيْدٌ فَخَشِيتُ أَنْ تَطَأَ يَحْيَى فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهَا فَإِذَا مِثْلُ الظُّلَّةِ فَوْقَ رَأْسِى فِيهَا أَمْثَالُ السُّرُجِ عَرَجَتْ فِى الْجَوِّ حَتَّى مَا أَرَاهَا - قَالَ - فَغَدَوْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بَيْنَمَا أَنَا الْبَارِحَةَ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ أَقْرَأُ فِى مِرْبَدِى إِذْ جَالَتْ فَرَسِى. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « اقْرَإِ ابْنَ حُضَيْرٍ ». قَالَ فَقَرَأْتُ ثُمَّ جَالَتْ أَيْضًا. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « اقْرَإِ ابْنَ حُضَيْرٍ ». قَالَ فَقَرَأْتُ ثُمَّ جَالَتْ أَيْضًا. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « اقْرَإِ ابْنَ حُضَيْرٍ ».قَالَ فَانْصَرَفْتُ. وَكَانَ يَحْيَى قَرِيبًا مِنْهَا خَشِيتُ أَنْ تَطَأَهُ فَرَأَيْتُ مِثْلَ الظُّلَّةِ فِيهَا أَمْثَالُ السُّرُجِ عَرَجَتْ فِى الْجَوِّ حَتَّى مَا أَرَاهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « تِلْكَ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ كَانَتْ تَسْتَمِعُ لَكَ وَلَوْ قَرَأْتَ لأَصْبَحَتْ يَرَاهَا النَّاسُ مَا تَسْتَتِرُ مِنْهُمْ ».

It was narrated that Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'The likeness of the believer who reads the Qur'an is that of a citron, the smell of which is good and its taste is good. The likeness of the believer who does not read the Qur'an is that of a date, which has no smell but its taste is sweet. The likeness of a hypocrite who reads the Qur'an is that of sweet basil, the smell of which is good but its taste is bitter. The likeness of a hypocrite who does not read the Qur'an is that of a colocynth (bitter apple), which has no smell and its taste is bitter."'

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِىُّ كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ أَبِى عَوَانَةَ - قَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ - عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِى مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِىِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ الَّذِى يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ مَثَلُ الأُتْرُجَّةِ رِيحُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَطَعْمُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَمَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ الَّذِى لاَ يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ مَثَلُ التَّمْرَةِ لاَ رِيحَ لَهَا وَطَعْمُهَا حُلْوٌ وَمَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ الَّذِى يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ مَثَلُ الرَّيْحَانَةِ رِيحُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَطَعْمُهَا مُرٌّ وَمَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ الَّذِى لاَ يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ كَمَثَلِ الْحَنْظَلَةِ لَيْسَ لَهَا رِيحٌ وَطَعْمُهَا مُرٌّ ».

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'The one who is skilled in reciting Qur'an will be with the noble, honorable scribes and the one who recites Qur'an and falters therein, and finds it difficult, will have a double reward."'

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْغُبَرِىُّ جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِى عَوَانَةَ - قَالَ ابْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ - عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « الْمَاهِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَعَ السَّفَرَةِ الْكِرَامِ الْبَرَرَةِ وَالَّذِى يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ وَيَتَتَعْتَعُ فِيهِ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ شَاقٌّ لَهُ أَجْرَانِ ».

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said to Ubayy: "Allah has commanded me to recite to you." He said: "Did Allah mention me by name to you?" He said: "Allah mentioned you by name to me." And Ubayy started to weep.

حَدَّثَنَا هَدَّابُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ لأُبَىٍّ « إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَنِى أَنْ أَقْرَأَ عَلَيْكَ ». قَالَ آللَّهُ سَمَّانِى لَكَ قَالَ « اللَّهُ سَمَّاكَ لِى ». قَالَ فَجَعَلَ أُبَىٌّ يَبْكِى.

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said to me: 'Recite the Qur'an to me.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, should I recite to you when it was revealed to you?' He said: 'I like to hear it from someone else.' So I recited Surat An-Nisa', and when I reached the verse, 'How (will it be) then, when We bring from each nation a witness and We bring you as a witness against these people?', I raised my head, or a man who was beside me nudged me, and I raised my head, and I saw his tears flowing."

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ حَفْصٍ - قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ - عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ لِى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « اقْرَأْ عَلَىَّ الْقُرْآنَ ». قَالَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَيْكَ أُنْزِلَ قَالَ « إِنِّى أَشْتَهِى أَنْ أَسْمَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِى ». فَقَرَأْتُ النِّسَاءَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغْتُ (فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَؤُلاَءِ شَهِيدًا) رَفَعْتُ رَأْسِى أَوْ غَمَزَنِى رَجُلٌ إِلَى جَنْبِى فَرَفَعْتُ رَأْسِى فَرَأَيْتُ دُمُوعَهُ تَسِيلُ

It was narrated that Ibrahim said: "The Prophet (s.a.w) said to 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud: 'Recite to me.' He said: 'Should I recite to you when it was revealed to you?' He said: 'I like to hear it from someone else.' So he recited to him from the beginning of Surat An-Nisa', as far as the verse: 'How (will it be) then, when We bring from each nation a witness and We bring you as a witness against these people?', and he wept.'' It was narrated that Ibn Mas'ud said: "The Prophet (s.a.w) said: 'A witness against them so long as I remain among them,' or 'am still among them"' - Mis'ar was not sure.

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَنِى مِسْعَرٌ - وَقَالَ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ - عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ « اقْرَأْ عَلَىَّ ». قَالَ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَيْكَ أُنْزِلَ قَالَ « إِنِّى أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَسْمَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِى » قَالَ فَقَرَأَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَوَّلِ سُورَةِ النِّسَاءِ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ (فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَؤُلاَءِ شَهِيدًا) فَبَكَى. قَالَ مِسْعَرٌ فَحَدَّثَنِى مَعْنٌ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِىُّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « شَهِيدًا عَلَيْهِمْ مَا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ أَوْ مَا كُنْتُ فِيهِمْ ». شَكَّ مِسْعَرٌ.
