Read All Ahadith In The Book Of muslim

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: "I was in Hims and some of the people said to me: 'Recite Qur'an to us.' So I recited Surat Yusuf - peace be upon him - to them. A man among the people said: 'By Allah, this is not how it was revealed.' I said: 'Woe to you! By Allah, I recited it to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) and he said to me: You have done well. While I was speaking to him, I noticed the smell of wine on him. I said: 'Do you drink wine and belie the Book? You will not leave until I have flogged you, and I carried out the Hadd punishment of flogging on him.'"

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كُنْتُ بِحِمْصَ فَقَالَ لِى بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ اقْرَأْ عَلَيْنَا. فَقَرَأْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ سُورَةَ يُوسُفَ - قَالَ - فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ وَاللَّهِ مَا هَكَذَا أُنْزِلَتْ. قَالَ قُلْتُ وَيْحَكَ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ قَرَأْتُهَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَقَالَ لِى « أَحْسَنْتَ ». فَبَيْنَمَا أَنَا أُكَلِّمُهُ إِذْ وَجَدْتُ مِنْهُ رِيحَ الْخَمْرِ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ أَتَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ وَتُكَذِّبُ بِالْكِتَابِ لاَ تَبْرَحُ حَتَّى أَجْلِدَكَ - قَالَ - فَجَلَدْتُهُ الْحَدَّ.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'Would any one of you like to go back to his family and find among them three large, fat, pregnant she-camels?' We said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Three verses that one of you recites in his prayer are better for him than three large, fat, pregnant she-camels."'

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِى صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ أَنْ يَجِدَ فِيهِ ثَلاَثَ خَلِفَاتٍ عِظَامٍ سِمَانٍ ». قُلْنَا نَعَمْ. قَالَ « فَثَلاَثُ آيَاتٍ يَقْرَأُ بِهِنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِى صَلاَتِهِ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ ثَلاَثِ خَلِفَاتٍ عِظَامٍ سِمَانٍ ».

It was narrated that 'Uqbah bin 'Amir said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) came out when we were in As-Suffah and said: 'Which of you would like to go out in the morning every day to Buthan or Al-'Aqiq and bring back two large she-camels without that involving any sin or severing of family ties?' We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we would like that.' He said: 'For one of you to go to the Masjid in the morning and learn, or recite two verses from the Book of Allah, is better for him than two she-camels, and three (verses) are better for him than three (she-camels), and four (verses) are better for him than four (she-camels), and so on."'

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُلَىٍّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِى يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَنَحْنُ فِى الصُّفَّةِ فَقَالَ « أَيُّكُمْ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَغْدُوَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ إِلَى بُطْحَانَ أَوْ إِلَى الْعَقِيقِ فَيَأْتِىَ مِنْهُ بِنَاقَتَيْنِ كَوْمَاوَيْنِ فِى غَيْرِ إِثْمٍ وَلاَ قَطْعِ رَحِمٍ ».فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نُحِبُّ ذَلِكَ. قَالَ « أَفَلاَ يَغْدُو أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَيَعْلَمَ أَوْ يَقْرَأَ آيَتَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ نَاقَتَيْنِ وَثَلاَثٌ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ ثَلاَثٍ وَأَرْبَعٌ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ وَمِنْ أَعْدَادِهِنَّ مِنَ الإِبِلِ ».

It was narrated from Zaid that he heard Abu Salam saying: "Abu Umamah Al-Bahili narrated to me: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: "Recite the Qur'an, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection interceding for its companions. Recite the two bright ones, Sural Al-Baqarah and Sural Al 'Imran, for they will come on the Day of Resurrection as if they were two clouds, or as if they were two shadows, or as if they were two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading on behalf of their companions. Recite Surat Al-Baqarah, for reciting it regularly is a blessing and forsaking it is a loss, and Al-Batalah (the magicians) cannot withstand it." Mu'awiyah (one of the narrators) said: "It was conveyed to me that Al-Batalah is the magicians."

حَدَّثَنِى الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِىٍّ الْحُلْوَانِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ - وَهُوَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ - حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ سَلاَّمٍ - عَنْ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَلاَّمٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِى أَبُو أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِىُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شَفِيعًا لأَصْحَابِهِ اقْرَءُوا الزَّهْرَاوَيْنِ الْبَقَرَةَ وَسُورَةَ آلِ عِمْرَانَ فَإِنَّهُمَا تَأْتِيَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَمَامَتَانِ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَيَايَتَانِ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا فِرْقَانِ مِنْ طَيْرٍ صَوَافَّ تُحَاجَّانِ عَنْ أَصْحَابِهِمَا اقْرَءُوا سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ فَإِنَّ أَخْذَهَا بَرَكَةٌ وَتَرْكَهَا حَسْرَةٌ وَلاَ تَسْتَطِيعُهَا الْبَطَلَةُ ». قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بَلَغَنِى أَنَّ الْبَطَلَةَ السَّحَرَةُ.

Al-Nawwas bin Sim'an Al-Kilabi said: "I heard the Prophet (s.a.w) say: 'The Qur'an will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, as will its people who used to act in accordance with it, led by Surat Al-Baqarah and Al-'Imran.' And the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) likened them to three things, which we did not forget afterwards. He said: 'As if they are two clouds, or two black canopies, with light between them, or as if they are two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading on behalf of their companions."'

حَدَّثَنِى إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُرَشِىِّ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّوَّاسَ بْنَ سَمْعَانَ الْكِلاَبِىَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « يُؤْتَى بِالْقُرْآنِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَهْلِهِ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ بِهِ تَقْدُمُهُ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ وَآلُ عِمْرَانَ ». وَضَرَبَ لَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- ثَلاَثَةَ أَمْثَالٍ مَا نَسِيتُهُنَّ بَعْدُ قَالَ « كَأَنَّهُمَا غَمَامَتَانِ أَوْ ظُلَّتَانِ سَوْدَاوَانِ بَيْنَهُمَا شَرْقٌ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا حِزْقَانِ مِنْ طَيْرٍ صَوَافَّ تُحَاجَّانِ عَنْ صَاحِبِهِمَا ».

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "While Jibril was sitting with the Prophet (s.a.w), he heard a creaking sound from above him. He raised his head and said: 'This is a door in heaven that has been opened today, and it has never been opened before today.' An Angel came down from it and he said: 'This is an Angel who has come down to earth, and he has never come down before today.' He greeted him and said: 'Glad tidings of two lights that have not been given to any Prophet before you: The Opening of the Book and the closing verses of Surat Al-Baqarah. You will never recite one letter of them but you will be given (reward)."'

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَوَّاسٍ الْحَنَفِىُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ رُزَيْقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا جِبْرِيلُ قَاعِدٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- سَمِعَ نَقِيضًا مِنْ فَوْقِهِ فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَالَ هَذَا بَابٌ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ لَمْ يُفْتَحْ قَطُّ إِلاَّ الْيَوْمَ فَنَزَلَ مِنْهُ مَلَكٌ فَقَالَ هَذَا مَلَكٌ نَزَلَ إِلَى الأَرْضِ لَمْ يَنْزِلْ قَطُّ إِلاَّ الْيَوْمَ فَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ أَبْشِرْ بِنُورَيْنِ أُوتِيتَهُمَا لَمْ يُؤْتَهُمَا نَبِىٌّ قَبْلَكَ فَاتِحَةُ الْكِتَابِ وَخَوَاتِيمُ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ بِحَرْفٍ مِنْهُمَا إِلاَّ أُعْطِيتَهُ.

It was narrated that 'Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid said: "I met Abu Mas'ud at the Ka'bah and I said: 'I have heard a Hadith from you concerning the two verses in Surat Al-Baqarah.' He said: 'Yes; the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: The two verses at the end of Surat Al-Baqarah; whoever recites them at night, they will suffice him.'"

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ لَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ فَقُلْتُ حَدِيثٌ بَلَغَنِى عَنْكَ فِى الآيَتَيْنِ فِى سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ. فَقَالَ نَعَمْ. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « الآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِى لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ ».

It was narrated from Abu Ad-Darda' that the Prophet (s.a.w) said: "Whoever memorizes ten verses from the beginning of Surat Al-Kahf, will be protected from the tribulation of the Dajjal."

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِى أَبِى عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِى الْجَعْدِ الْغَطَفَانِىِّ عَنْ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ أَبِى طَلْحَةَ الْيَعْمَرِىِّ عَنْ أَبِى الدَّرْدَاءِ أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « مَنْ حَفِظَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ سُورَةِ الْكَهْفِ عُصِمَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ ».

It was narrated from Qatadah with this chain (a Hadith similar to no. 1883). Shu'bah said: "from the end of Al-Kahf." Hammam said: "from the beginning of Al-Kahf," as Hisham said.

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ح وَحَدَّثَنِى زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِىٍّ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ جَمِيعًا عَنْ قَتَادَةَ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ مِنْ آخِرِ الْكَهْفِ. وَقَالَ هَمَّامٌ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الْكَهْفِ كَمَا قَالَ هِشَامٌ.

It was narrated that Ubayy bin Ka'b said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'O Abu Al-Mundhir, do you know which verse from the Book of Allah that you have learned is greatest?' I said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said: 'O Abu Al-Mundhir, do you know which verse from the Book of Allah that you have learned is greatest?' I said: "'Allahu! la ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshiped but He), Al-Hayyul-Qayyum (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists...)."' He struck me on the chest and said: 'I congratulate you on your knowledge, O Abu Al-Mundhir.'"

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِىِّ عَنْ أَبِى السَّلِيلِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ الأَنْصَارِىِّ عَنْ أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « يَا أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ أَتَدْرِى أَىُّ آيَةٍ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مَعَكَ أَعْظَمُ ». قَالَ قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ. قَالَ « يَا أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ أَتَدْرِى أَىُّ آيَةٍ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مَعَكَ أَعْظَمُ ». قَالَ قُلْتُ اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَىُّ الْقَيُّومُ. قَالَ فَضَرَبَ فِى صَدْرِى وَقَالَ « وَاللَّهِ لِيَهْنِكَ الْعِلْمُ أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ ».
