Harithah bin wahb said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say: ‘Give in charity, for soon a man will walk about his charity , the one to whom he wants to give it will say: If you had come to us yesterday we would have accepted it, but now I have no need of it,” and he will not find anyone to accept it.’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حَارِثَةَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « تَصَدَّقُوا فَيُوشِكُ الرَّجُلُ يَمْشِى بِصَدَقَتِهِ فَيَقُولُ الَّذِى أُعْطِيَهَا لَوْ جِئْتَنَا بِهَا بِالأَمْسِ قَبِلْتُهَا فَأَمَّا الآنَ فَلاَ حَاجَةَ لِى بِهَا. فَلاَ يَجِدُ مَنْ يَقْبَلُهَا ».

It was narrated from Abu Musa that the Prophet (SAW) said: “There will come upon a time the people in which a man will go around with charity from gold, but he will not find anyone to take it from him. And a man will be seen being followed by forty women seeking his protection, because there will be so few men and so many women.”According to the report of Ibn Barrad: “you will see a man...”

وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَرَّادٍ الأَشْعَرِىُّ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِى بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِى مُوسَى عَنِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَطُوفُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهِ بِالصَّدَقَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجِدُ أَحَدًا يَأْخُذُهَا مِنْهُ وَيُرَى الرَّجُلُ الْوَاحِدُ يَتْبَعُهُ أَرْبَعُونَ امْرَأَةً يَلُذْنَ بِهِ مِنْ قِلَّةِ الرِّجَالِ وَكَثْرَةِ النِّسَاءِ ». وَفِى رِوَايَةِ ابْنِ بَرَّادٍ « وَتَرَى الرَّجُلَ ».

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that Messenger of Allah (SAW) has said: “The Hour will not begin until wealth increases and becomes abundant , until a man will go out with the Zakat of his wealth and will not find anyone to accept it from him , and until the lands of the ‘Arabs goes back to being meadows with rivers’ ”

وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقَارِىُّ - عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « لاَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَكْثُرَ الْمَالُ وَيَفِيضَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ الرَّجُلُ بِزَكَاةِ مَالِهِ فَلاَ يَجِدُ أَحَدًا يَقْبَلُهَا مِنْهُ وَحَتَّى تَعُودَ أَرْضُ الْعَرَبِ مُرُوجًا وَأَنْهَارًا ».

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that Messenger of Allah (SAW) has said: “The Hour will not begin until wealth increases among you, and becomes so abundant that a wealthy man will despair of finding someone to accept charity from him. A man will be called to it and he will say: ‘I have no need of it’.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِى يُونُسَ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « لاَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَكْثُرَ فِيكُمُ الْمَالُ فَيَفِيضَ حَتَّى يُهِمَّ رَبَّ الْمَالِ مَنْ يَقْبَلُهُ مِنْهُ صَدَقَةً وَيُدْعَى إِلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ فَيَقُولُ لاَ أَرَبَ لِى فِيهِ ».

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that Messenger of Allah (SAW) has said: “The earth will vomit out pieces of its liver, like columns of gold and silver .The murderer will come and will say: “It was for this that I killed” . The one who severed the ties of kinship will come and say:“It was for this that I severed the ties of kinship”. The thief will come and say: “It was for this that my hand was cut off”. Then they will leave it and not take anything from it.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الرِّفَاعِىُّ - وَاللَّفْظُ لِوَاصِلٍ - قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِى حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « تَقِىءُ الأَرْضُ أَفْلاَذَ كَبِدِهَا أَمْثَالَ الأُسْطُوَانِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ فَيَجِىءُ الْقَاتِلُ فَيَقُولُ فِى هَذَا قَتَلْتُ .وَيَجِىءُ الْقَاطِعُ فَيَقُولُ فِى هَذَا قَطَعْتُ رَحِمِى. وَيَجِىءُ السَّارِقُ فَيَقُولُ فِى هَذَا قُطِعَتْ يَدِى ثُمَّ يَدَعُونَهُ فَلاَ يَأْخُذُونَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا ».

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that Messenger of Allah (SAW) has said: ‘No one gives charity earned from a good (Tayyib) source – And Allah does not accept anything but that which is good (Tayyib) – but the most Merciful takes it in His Right hand – even it is a date- and it is tended in the Hand of the Most Merciful until it becomes bigger than mountain, as one of you tends to colt or young camel’.”

وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِى سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « مَا تَصَدَّقَ أَحَدٌ بِصَدَقَةٍ مِنْ طَيِّبٍ - وَلاَ يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ إِلاَّ الطَّيِّبَ - إِلاَّ أَخَذَهَا الرَّحْمَنُ بِيَمِينِهِ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ تَمْرَةً فَتَرْبُو فِى كَفِّ الرَّحْمَنِ حَتَّى تَكُونَ أَعْظَمَ مِنَ الْجَبَلِ كَمَا يُرَبِّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلُوَّهُ أَوْ فَصِيلَهُ ».

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that Messenger of Allah (SAW) has said: “No one gives in charity a date earned from a good (Tayyib) source, but Allah takes it in His right hand and tends it as one of you tends his colt or young she-camel, until it becomes like a mountain, or a bigger.”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقَارِىَّ - عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « لاَ يَتَصَدَّقُ أَحَدٌ بِتَمْرَةٍ مِنْ كَسْبٍ طَيِّبٍ إِلاَّ أَخَذَهَا اللَّهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَيُرَبِّيهَا كَمَا يُرَبِّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلُوَّهُ أَوْ قَلُوصَهُ حَتَّى تَكُونَ مِثْلَ الْجَبَلِ أَوْ أَعْظَمَ ».

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that Messenger of Allah (SAW) has said: “O People, Allah is Tayyib (good) and does not accept anything but that which is good. Allah has enjoined upon the believers that which He has enjoined upon the Messengers. He says : O You Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibat [the lawful] and do righteous deeds. Verily ,I am well-Acquainted with what you do” and He says : O you believers !Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you with…Then he mentioned a man who has undertaken a lengthy journey and is disheveled and dusty , raising his hands toward heaven and saying : ‘O Lord, O Lord! ‘But his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he is nourished with what is unlawful, so how can he receive a response?”

وَحَدَّثَنِى أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ حَدَّثَنِى عَدِىُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِى حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ طَيِّبٌ لاَ يَقْبَلُ إِلاَّ طَيِّبًا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِمَا أَمَرَ بِهِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ فَقَالَ ( يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا إِنِّى بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ) وَقَالَ (يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُلُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ) ». ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الرَّجُلَ يُطِيلُ السَّفَرَ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ يَمُدُّ يَدَيْهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ وَمَطْعَمُهُ حَرَامٌ وَمَشْرَبُهُ حَرَامٌ وَمَلْبَسُهُ حَرَامٌ وَغُذِىَ بِالْحَرَامِ فَأَنَّى يُسْتَجَابُ لِذَلِكَ ».

It was narrated that Adiyy Bin Hatim said: “I heard the Prophet (SAW) say: ‘whoever among you can shield himself from the Fire, even with half a date, let him do so.’”

حَدَّثَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ سَلاَّمٍ الْكُوفِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُعْفِىُّ عَنْ أَبِى إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ عَنْ عَدِىِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَتِرَ مِنَ النَّارِ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَلْيَفْعَلْ ».

It was narrated that Adiyy bin Hatim said: ‘There is no one among you to whom Allah will not speak (directly) , with no interpreter between them. He will look to his right and will not see anything but what he had sent on before , and will look to his left and will not see anything but what he had sent on before , and he will look in front of him and will not see anything but the Fire,right in front of his face. So protect yourselves from the Fire,even if it is with half a date.”’Ibn Hujr added: “Al-A’mash said: “Amr bin Murrah narrated a similar report to me from Khaithamah, and he added: “even if it is with a kind word”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِىُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِىُّ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلِىُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ قَالَ ابْنُ حُجْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ عَدِىِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ سَيُكَلِّمُهُ اللَّهُ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُ تُرْجُمَانٌ فَيَنْظُرُ أَيْمَنَ مِنْهُ فَلاَ يَرَى إِلاَّ مَا قَدَّمَ وَيَنْظُرُ أَشْأَمَ مِنْهُ فَلاَ يَرَى إِلاَّ مَا قَدَّمَ وَيَنْظُرُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَلاَ يَرَى إِلاَّ النَّارَ تِلْقَاءَ وَجْهِهِ فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ ». زَادَ ابْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ الأَعْمَشُ وَحَدَّثَنِى عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ مِثْلَهُ وَزَادَ فِيهِ « وَلَوْ بِكَلِمَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ ». وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ الأَعْمَشُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ.
